Well, just checked out this write up:
http://www.stereotimes.com/comm040510.shtml

Molecular elongators, sticky pads, polycarbonate stones... Remarkable.
Just think if the device went for nitrogen instead of oxygen, it's be 4
times as good! All for the paltry price of $2500. I wonder if you have
to sign an NDA agreement when you buy one of these to promise not to
crack it open and take some pictures for the Net :-)

There was this traveling salesman years ago selling a device that you
plugged into a wall outlet and that let you choose between
nuclear/non-nuclear generated electric. Damn, I knew I should have
bought a couple of those. Guess he's probably selling Shakti Hallograph
Soundfield Optimizers online today so that we all can experience how
"The bass exhibits greater control with midrange and highs that are now
more articulate and less strident."

Now for bonus credit try to match each type of music with the
electricity which makes it sound the best. For example grunge rock
obviously sounds best with fossil fuel generated electricity and
chamber music is spectacular when played using wind power. Any other
pairings which you know will work?

Here is the sonic signatures of electricity based on the way it is
generated:

Fossil fuel generated electricity gives the music a hazy smog like
sound.

Nuclear generated electricity makes the music radiate.

Hydro- electric power makes the music flow.

Solar power makes the music shine.

Wind power gives the music an airy, breezy feel.

Battery power produces music which is clean sounding but which often
runs out of energy at critical times.

Well, I can get you pretty close! Do a Google search on "Steinmusic
Harmonizer" and if you don't want to subject yourself to that torture,
here is the synopsis:

"The PDF Steinmusic manual for the Harmonizers describes their function
as "elongating the air molecules" – i.e. "charging" the air in the
listening room in a manner that facilitates the transmission of musical
energy through the room. It seems to be suggesting that this charging of
the air molecules means that when the speaker output enters the
listening room space it does not have to overcome the inertia of
uncharged/un-elongated air in the room."

Acutally different versions of Windows do sound different. It's not
because of 0's and 1's per se, but how they process sound. XP has
kernel mixer. Newer versions don't. Vista and W7 are setup for WASAPI.
So Windows, especially XP, does alter the sound of your music output
unless you specifically set it up not to.

The amount and type of processes you have running on your PC can also
affect the sound. In various setups, some Windows versions my be better
suited for turning off unwanted processes than others.

He he stability a large flywheel on the generator very large and wide
diameter. The an electric motor-flywheel-generator setup would suffice
;)
No combustion motors needed

10m diameter 100 metric tones of tungsten of course suspended in
vacuum, the wind drag on the flywheel could cause problems ..
(even more OT one of my customers have a vacuum chamber for balancing
of gas turbine and steam turbine wheels)

You can have a whole chain of generators at the drive shaft for
different ac and dc voltages why not generate the 600v or 1kV dc some
tubes needs from a rotating machine

Actually one of my friends has an old us army dynamotor a portable
generator you can drive with a truck battery to make high voltage for
radio equipment , the thing looks WW2 to me :)

I would expect nothing less from anyone serious about their system.
However, there are several factors that must be carefully considered.
This has to be an audiophile grade generator with windings from copper
cured for +500 hours in a bath of meticulously temperature controlled
vintage crude oil at ridiculous pressure. Also, a precision generator
must not be powered by any run of the mill diesel engine (engines with
harmonic dampers are particularly ill suited for audio purposes, but
that goes without saying I guess), actually any piston engine is likely
to have too much torsional vibrations resulting in overtones in the
output of the generator. Japanese audiophiles swear by Mazda rotary
engines but recent listening tests with gas turbines from General
Electric running at a speed tuned to an odd multiple of the crossover
frequency of the speakers gave favorable results. It wasn't a blind
test though, the leaves flying off the trees outside the window was a
bit of a giveaway. Next is the choice of fuel, naturally there may be
no additives that may affect the imaging or contaminate the high range
the way ordinary cheap jet fuel would. Medical grade ethanol is
preferred by many for it's neutral tone, while a 24 year single malt is
popular for the noticably warmer glow it gives to the tube amps and you
will also enjoy a slightly smoother sound from your vinyl records.
Sadly, the whole idea of running your own generator falls over since
there is no economically feasible method of supplying enough air of the
quality required. Normal outside air varies wildly when it comes to
temperature, humidity, pressure and oxygen isotope ratio, not to
mention the sonically detrimental effects of certain pollen types. So
far, listening tests has been constricted to 5 minute sessions, nobody
has been able to provide more processed air of the necessary grade to
run the gas turbine for longer periods than that. If you live in a
rural area and has a less revealing system you may get away with using
outside air during the month of october.

Maybe one shouldn't mock this stuff though, spending money (even
absolutely obscene amounts as in this case) on a power cord does in
some sad way make more sense than spending them on "audio grade" USB
cables or hard drives.

Careful! You wouldn't want to contaminate your generator and dedicated
wiring by hooking it to ordinary appliances. The system might
"remember" the shame of having powered lesser devices and have the
quality of power it provides permanently impaired. ;-)

Even then paying $30k for this cable would only at best ensure that
your power didn't get any dirtier between the wall socket and the
equipment ac socket. If one were spending one's money proportionately I
would have thought that one would need to spend at least $500,000 on the
mains itself and perhaps $500 an hour on a group of people who would
hit anyone making a noise outside one's house during listening sessions

I don't think of clean power as a tweak. However, I do question whether
it takes $30K to get there.

Butpeople who have $30K to spend on a cable or on separate dedicated
power supply to their listening room probably are spending a minimum of
$100K, if not several times that, on their audio system. Their are lots
