Ditto - the "ran out of decoder data memory" error message is the one that usually shows up when inadvertently trying to play full 5.1 flac files, i.e. files which are not DTS encoded and contain each of the 5.1 channels separately (as opposed to DTS encoded flac files, which also cannot be "played" by the Transporter, but will be digitally passed through via the Transporter's digital output to a device which can decode the files, such as a home theater receiver.) -- ralphpnj Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -> Snatch -> The Transporter -> Transporter 2 (oops) -> Touch 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/jazzfann/) ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84109 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

Almost all of my FLACs are encoded at -8 and the rest at -5 - never had a problem on the Touch. [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Problem with 24Bit/96Khz
In around 50% of cases, when I try to play a Flac file encoded at 24/96 the transporter crashes with "ran out of decoder data memory". I have had some success in reconverting the files to Flac -0 (least compression), but this seems to be a recurring issue. Anyone got any ideas - apparently I cannot increase the memory in the transporter. -- sdcoomber sdcoomber's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36185 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84109 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
