A formal release is a long way off. Basically Infrant had to do some deep level changes to the firmware to get SS 6.5 to work but subsequent releases will be stand alone. If you read the release notes you will see what has been added in the beta - nothing controversial so you can use the update without fear of data loss. Thanks Heuer! I would like to retain the use of the NV frontend. Do you know when the offical release is due? I guess I will end up using the Beta if it is more that a few days. You can download a beta version of Radiator 3.01b1-p1 which includes 6.5. Go to the Infrant forum, look under Ready NAS Beta Releases and you can get the update. I have been running it for a couple of weeks and it is both stable and works. Obviously if you want to use the Web interface you will be in for a big disappointment - practically unusable - but you can't have everything!
