W E L L S L A P M Y H E A D ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Having run the network analyzer all afternoon and seeing no glitches, and having no LONG Ethernet cables on hand I decided to have a CLOSE look at my system wiring. Silly me I found a BAD BNC to phono adapter in the digital circuit. * S o r r y a b o u t t h a t f o l k s ! ! ! ! ! ! ! * Squeezebox Duet, Squeezebox Boom, Transporter, Squeezebox Classic, Radio golddustpeak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29012 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109649 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter dropouts
If the Transporter output buffer runs out of data (e.g. due to network issue) then there will be a buffer underrun signalled. Are there any messages in the server.log ? Can you attach a DAC to digital output to test to see if the problem is in the analog output stage ? bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109649 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

This suggests it is something with the Transporter itself or the internal part of your network (and not the external internet connection itself). Any way to temporarily connect transporter using ethernet to determine whether the WIFI is the issue? *Home:* VBA 4TB (2.4)>LMS 7.9.1>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.4)>LMS 7.9.1>Touch> Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win8(64) > LMS 7.9.1>Squeezelite *Wilderness: *PiCorePlayer 4.0 on rPi 3B+, hifiberry Dac+Pro, 4TB USB (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109649 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

I am getting the dropouts on my server as well as internet radio. BTW I replaced the power supply around Feb. 0f 2017 with the suggested unit as in the link posted above. I just downloaded a WiFi analyzer and ran it for about 10 minutes and saw no dropouts. I'll next run the transporter and the analyzer at the same time. Once in a while I can hear a clicking from within the transporter. I often wonder if it might be the modem or router but I cannot detect it on any of my many connected devices. [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter dropouts
I've just started to experience drop outs or cut outs with my transporter. I also experience glitches when some power (AC) switches are operated in the area. I have power cycled the transporter. I'm using WiFi on a channel which has little to no use. I have other WiFi music players that don't exhibit similar characteristics. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
