Re: [Blind-Computing] having trouble with my computer with windows xp pro
Hi Amber, The problem seems to be more complicated than I think it is. If it is not booting and going to your desktop, I am not sure what to suggest. However, if you are wanting to boot your computer in safe mode do this: Press the F8 key when you have restarted the computer, keep this key pressed till after the windows log on screen disappears. Re: [Blind-Computing] Speaker Volume Control in the Systems Tray
Windows7 likes to hide what it see's as inactive icons - from desktop, tab until you hear something like system notification - can't remember exactly what it's called - invoke context menu, and there's a context menu item relating to hidden icons, and if you hit enter on it, it will bring up the part of the interface to control each and every possible icon it knows about's permanent visibility, etc. Alternatively, think you can still, on windows7, hit windows key + R to bring up run dialogue, and type in sndvol32 there and hit enter to bring up volume control - but, not currently on windows7 machine, so can't test that right now myself.
