Neither of these yet exist in released versions of beanutils/configuration, so they
can't be deprecated yet.

Weren't ExtendedProperties and BeanMap to be removed?

Or was the decision made to keep them?

Looking forward to it. I've made the bad mistake of losing touch with
commons-collections development and am hoping that removal of the
deprecated stuff will give me less to get my head around.

All the decorator stuff looks great.

I am not sure if you've done this already: STATUS.html needs to be updated.

Could the information in STATUS.html be merged in a Maven project file?

A snapshot has been tagged and created - http://www.apache.org/~scolebourne
I have requested a Maven upload (I hope, JIRA seemed rather unresponsive).
There are lots of upload requests waiting though.

I am planning on deleting the deprecated for 3.0 code on Sunday, unless
someone objects.

I have been thinking of running through and replacing all the headers with
one style (needs it for 2004 anyway), so I am in favour of removing the
$Header. Its non-official anyway AFAIN.

RE: [collections] Version 3.0 - The final stretch

2003-12-29 Thread Gary Gregory
One admin-type of issue: I notice that the top of each .java file includes
CVS info:

/*
 * $Header:
/home/cvs/jakarta-commons/collections/src/java/org/apache/commons/collection
s/bag/AbstractMapBag.java,v 1.9 2003/12/28 16:36:48 scolebourne Exp $
 *
 *
 * The Apache Software License, Version 1.1

Some of which is duplicated in the @version tag:

* @version $Revision: 1.9 $ $Date: 2003/12/28 16:36:48 $

It seems redundant to have both. I would suggest only using the @version tag
for CVS info which seems to jive with other commons projects I've looked
into (but I've not seen them all ;-) Perhaps only using $Id: $ instead.
