No sign of little white "collapse control" triangle here.
I edited the darktablerc file as suggested, but every time I restart
darktable I see the same behaviour and the darktablerc file is always
changed back to darkroom/ui/toolbar_bottom_visible=FALSE.

Something funny going on.
This is a build of dt on Fedora 30, anyone else seeing similar behaviour.

Problem solved.
Toggle bottom panel (Shift+Ctl+B) has restored the bottom panel.
Sorry for wild goose chase, I had pored over the preference settings but
not latched onto this one until now.

Blowed if I know how the bottom panel got switched off.

The little white "collapse control" triangle under the filmstrip now has
a somewhat complicated behavior with more than two states... try
clicking on it multiple times. If worse comes to worse, you can edit
your darktablerc file; you want:

 darkroom/ui/toolbar_bottom_visible=TRUE

[darktable-dev] Move mask modes

2019-09-29 Thread Julian Rickards
dt 2.6.2 on Linux Mint 19.1

I wanted to create a mask but exclude an area within it. I couldn't figure
it out but got some help, it was the "mode difference" that I needed.

Perfect except, why are these modes in the Mask Manager and not part of the
mask creation functions in whatever modules allow you to create masks?

I know that feature requests are closed for 3.0 but perhaps for the next
version, the modes could be moved to where masks are created.

Thanks, that makes it a bit easier for me.
I have just built and tested the master (1904-g2e4ba4b8b) and the profiled
de-noise non local means is much faster.
