NB: root's PATH should usually contain /usr/local/sbin, /usr/sbin and /sbin. E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) The installation fails and I have no idea what is going wrong. Configuring Sound problems
Good morning, I'm currently running the 2.4.18-bf2.4 image and am having trouble getting my soundcard working on a Compaq 4130T. I've tried modconf but upon trying to install the sb module I get an error saying: /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.o: init_module: No such device Yet, I see sb.0 in the directory mentioned. I had no installing the sb_lib, sound, or soundcore modules. Any help on what I need to do to get my soundcard working would be appreciated! Thanks! --- avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean. Lilo/initrd problems after apt-get of new kernel-image -- help needed
Good morning, In trying to get my Armada 4130T laptop's soundcard working I've obtained kernel-image-2.4.22-1-686 and installed it. I also modified the lilo.conf file and it appears to be loading initrd on rebooting the computer. However, as soon as the "BIOS loaded successfully" message pops up the computer automatically reboots itself. Could someone point me in the right direction as to how to fix this problem? dhcp network
I am trying to hook up my new Linux box, running Storm2000 to my existing network. There already is a router (Linksys BEFSR41) used to connect my DSL modem to the network and act as a fire wall. Could you please tell me how to set the Debian Linux to get the IP address dynamically from my router. Thank You Steve

Yes in that you can print to jet.direct.card.name!raw (pardon my SV'ishness), no in that it will always claim to be faulted. ---- Joe Kirby [EMAIL PROTECTED] (423)974-6616 LAN Engineering, 2339 Dunford, Knoxville, TN 37996 Public key on servers (ID 4E52298D) or finger [EMAIL PROTECTED]
