Hi, I have my Debian box running samba 1.9.18p8. I am also mounting the clients drives with smbmount. The problem is that not all the directories on the client are showing up when mounted.
In the windows directory on the client when I issue 'dir /a:d/o:n' I get: AIM95 <DIR> 04-26-98 6:31p aim95 COMMAND <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p COMMAND CONFIG <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p CONFIG COOKIES <DIR> 03-19-98 3:37p Cookies CURSORS <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p CURSORS DESKTOP <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p DESKTOP DRIVERS <DIR> 04-19-98 8:55a Drivers FAVORI~1 <DIR> 03-19-98 3:38p Favorites FONTS <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p FONTS FORMS <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p FORMS HELP <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p HELP HISTORY <DIR> 03-19-98 3:37p History INF <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p INF INTUIT <DIR> 04-26-98 12:21p Intuit JAVA <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p JAVA LOTUSAPP <DIR> 04-16-98 8:08p LOTUSAPP MEDIA <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p MEDIA MSAPPS <DIR> 03-19-98 3:15p MsApps NETHOOD <DIR> 04-16-98 1:18p NetHood OPTIONS <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p OPTIONS PHOTOCD <DIR> 03-19-98 3:16p PHOTOCD PIF <DIR> 03-19-98 3:37p PIF PROFILES <DIR> 04-20-98 5:49p Profiles RECENT <DIR> 03-19-98 3:37p Recent SENDTO <DIR> 03-19-98 3:21p SendTo SHELLNEW <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p ShellNew SPOOL <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p SPOOL STARTM~1 <DIR> 03-19-98 3:15p Start Menu SYSBCKUP <DIR> 03-19-98 3:15p SYSBCKUP SYSTEM <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p SYSTEM TEMP <DIR> 03-19-98 3:15p TEMP TEMPOR~1 <DIR> 03-19-98 3:37p Temporary Internet Files UBISOFT <DIR> 04-16-98 2:24p UbiSoft WANGSAMP <DIR> 03-19-98 3:08p WANGSAMP WORDVIEW <DIR> 03-19-98 3:14p WORDVIEW WS2BAKUP <DIR> 04-26-98 4:04p ws2bakup But from the server when I issue in the windows directory with 'find . -type d -maxdepth 1' I get: ./COMMAND ./CONFIG ./CURSORS ./DESKTOP ./FONTS ./FORMS ./HELP ./INF ./JAVA ./MEDIA ./MsApps ./OPTIONS ./PHOTOCD ./SPOOL ./SYSBCKUP ./SYSTEM ./SendTo ./TEMP ./WANGSAMP ./WORDVIEW Why are some of the directory not showing up?
