+1 great idea. Right now it's a pain when you have to change something, since
it's rendered differently across views.

> Currently we hard code the urls for the app. So our templates and code is
> littered with urls. This is not a great idea. I propose we create a links
> object that can generate urls for us.
> This would be similar to how Ruby on Rails works with its url functionality.
> I think how we should do it is have a Fauxton.links object. We can then ask
> it for a url e.g. Fauxton.links.allDocs(databaseName, context); it would
> then return the url for the all docs page of the database.
> What would also be important is to have the context argument so we can
> specify if its for the web or to fetch an object. Like how we use the context
> for models.

We are improving the UX for indexes and the all docs section and it involves a
lot of css clean up.

I'm making this ticket so we can keep track of PRs made for these updates that
may not deserve their own ticket.

> [learnable|http://worrydream.com/LearnableProgramming/].
> I would suggest a live editing feature which pre-populates a small sample set

> suggest basic syntax highlighting which corresponds to fields in the actual

> Pretty minor patch, noticed you can only click inside the text of the nav
> links, this makes the whole area clickable by shifting the padding from the
> onto the .
> At first I thought I'd need to change the markup, and the whole link markup
> was repeated lots of times in the template, so the attached patch also uses
> an inline helper function to get rid of this repetition. This is not
> essential and this part of the patch could be omitted (though it's better
> organised, IMO).

Description:
This really annoys to get redirected just to read that you don't have access to
some resource. Fauxton could provide more nicer popup message that user has no
permission to access to some resource and keep him on the place where he
currently is. If he comes by direct URL to such resource - yes, redirection to
noAccess page is reasonable.

NOTE FROM DEVS:

If you have a backbone history, show a back button so you can return to your
previous page.

---

We don't really agree with this being an issue. Yes futon has that link in the
bottom corner, but most applications have an account section and you get to
that section by clicking on your own username or user icon.

For example: Jira. If you want to change your Jira password you'd click on
your icon in the corner to find that. That is something people are used to by
now.

haha sorry Garren.

When you come back this one has to do with your pagination stuff so you might
be able to close it.

> By default Fauxton applies limit=20 for showing view results. But when you
> navigate to the document's page and click on Database name on page header
> Fauxton will apply limit=100 for pagination. This could be dangerous if
> include_docs is set as true.

You need the whole line highlighted instead of the checkboxes next to the line
number?
