I've got a similar problem where I select Random Album Mix, and it starts playing a random album, but no additional albums are added to the list automatically. I also recall it working correctly shortly after I installed, but now it simply stops playing anything after the first random album is finished. I'm using SlimServer 6.1.1 - 3774, and even after commenting out the 'cue' entry in the types.conf file, it still appears to use part of the cue (screwing up my playlist in the process.) For example, directories with cuesheets in them, when added to the playlist, will have N-1 tracks at the beginning of the list with the name of the last track on the album, followed by the N correct tracks of the disc. [slim] DL for latest version of Softsqueeze
The Sourceforge website for Softsqueeze has up to 2.0b8 available, but I know that 2.0b9 is being distributed in the latest version of Slimserver. I can't get the latest Softsqueeze through the web interface due to some issues with my platform (AMD64) and Java, but I've been able to get it to run after downloading from Sourceforge. When will 2.0b9 be available from Sourceforge, or how can I get it otherwise? [slim] Disabling cuesheets?
What would be the easiest way to disable cuesheet parsing by slimserver? My collection is multiple flac files, and I use EAC's non-standard cuesheets for burning to CDR...but those don't appear to work well with slimserver, since total times are not listed. [slim] Flac w/ replaygain supported?
With the more recent versions of flac, there's a flag you can specify on the command line that, if replaygain tags are present, will apply the replaygain to the output. [slim] Strangeness with stream.mp3 playback
I've been listening to my slimserver with the stream.mp3 from work for about a week now, and I have some strange behaviour that I don't quite understand. The player we have access to is WMP - I have no problems connecting to the stream, but the following issue is driving me nuts. If I click stop or pause on the web interface, the rest of the playlist I've queued up keeps playing - until I stop playback on WMP. I can watch playback on the web interface go much faster than real time, so it's buffering somehow, I guess. Any ideas?
