[slim] Some odd issues SB3
Hi all. I have a couple of problems here that I am struggling to work out. 1) It seems when my rescan runs it seems to initiate I-Tunes and then itunes crashes with an error. I am guessing it is something to do with the artwork scan. - Anyone seen this/know how to fix it? 2) If I right click the squeezebox server icon in the systray and choose "open control panel", a login box pops up but vanishes before I can put in a username and password. I am using Version: 7.4.0 - r28672 on Windows XP Any ideas anyone? Hmm, more confusing! I have updated to the latest everything! Some of the albums (my obscure ones) don't get found on amazon when using ctrl+L in MM, so I looked for alternative ways. I have found if I go to http://albumart.org and search for them I can paste them into the album art box in the left pane of MM. However, if I try to do this on an album basis it doesn't work and doesn't add the album art info to the tag. I have to go through each song and THEN I have to go and set the album art as "front cover" or whatever IN EACH SONG before it works. Then I get things mostly right but scrolling through the albums shows the wrong album cover until it comes into focus. This is bizarre and driving me nuts!!! Following up on this, I now have some problems with the album art for the music I put onto my iphone. Is there an easy way to fix this? I seem to have the "album art" of one of the podcasts I downloaded showing as the art for almost everything! Thanks so much for this moley6knipe. I searched around and found, from what you had said, that Media Monkey allows me to sync what I want and transcode on the fly so I don't need to keep 2 copies. [slim] Itunes Problem
Hi all. Sorry if this is a dopey question but I couldn't seem to find an answer anywhere else. I just got an iphone and want to put some of my music onto it. My music files are all in flac format so I am guessing this is why I am having problems. Is there an easy way to select which files I want to sync to my iphone and then allow itunes to convert them without screwing up my nicely organised collection I use on my Squeezebox? Again sorry if it is dumb or the answer is elsewhere. [slim] Oh boy
Hi all. I have been using my squeezebox for about 6 months now with no problem. I now seem to have a problem with the remote control. It works for a while when I set up things but as soon as a track is playing it doesn't respond to the remote not even to switch it off or turn it up. I have tried the obvious stuff like batteries etc. Does anyone have any clue what could be up or the contact info so as I can get it replaced? Should I try to update firmware? V86 at present.
