Thanks for the pointer. I got the BBC news feed working, but the URL for slashdot doesn't connect to the RSS feed. My server has the following specified; http://slashdot.org/slashdot/slashdot.rss Can anyone confirm whether this is right or wrong? Can anyone help me with this problem? I have just upgraded slimserver from 6.1 to 6.2.1 and everything is peachy apart from *some* of the RSS feeds. I had no such problem previously. I can connect perfectly to RSS News Feeds from CNET, New York Times, RollingStone and Yahoo. But the feeds from Slashdot BBC World don't work. When I hit on my remote it says "Loading RSS Feed..." for about 1/4 second, then displays "Failed to Retrieve RSS Feed" for about 1/2 a second before returning to the RSS menu. Lordypieman Slimserver 6.2.1 downloaded and installed yesterday. with latest AlienBBC, Mplayer, codecs etc. Slimserver running on Windows 2000, Piii 800MHz with 384Mb RAM SB2 player has firmware v40 and is connected via cat5 No internal firewalls, no software firewalls, but I do use Trend Officescan A/V. Previously, everything worked fine with Slimserver 6.1 which I used previously. I've replaced my MPlayer.exe with the alpha version from the link provided here in the forum and the performance is (so far) faultless. I'll run it for a few days and report back after a longer trial. I have the same problem as Maxwl with Radio 2. It plays only the introduction, and keeps repeating it. It is also played at (I'm guessing) double speed with gaps between each repetition. Radio Five Live plays at double speed too, which gaps every couple of seconds. Radios 1,3,4,6,7 all work fine. Anyone got a fix for th problem with radio 2 and 5? I to am a Windows (2kSP4) Slimserver/Squeezebox user with the same AlienBBC problem and looking for the same solution. I'm also not sure I'm up to recompiling from the C sourcecode. If anyone gets a Windows version compiled could they post a link to it here for us to road-test and report back? Cheers, Martin.
