It's weird that you only get this on few apps, but it looks that the UBUNTU_MENUPROXY env variable is not exported there, try to launch the terminal with UBUNTU_MENUPROXY="1" gnome-terminal --disable-factory Will it work? Open up several apps (for instance, a web browser, a game, a file manager and a terminal). Don't have the apps maximized. 2. Press Alt+Tab. Hold down the Alt key and click the tab selector so that the game is active. 3. While continuing to hold down Alt, use your mouse to click the terminal tile Expected behavior: Unity should switch to the terminal since the mouse click overrides where the tab happened to end up. Alternate example: 3. While continuing to hold down Alt, change your mind and click to the actual file manager in the background. Expected behavior: Unity should switch to the file manager since the mouse click overrides the Alt+Tab behavior. Other notes: Gnome Shell works the way I expect; it would be nice for Unity to do the Right Thing also. User testing notes: In user testing we found that several users tried to use the pointer to select applications/windows when alt-tab was open. -- Desired solution: - The requested change is to enable the use of the pointer and left click to select a specific app/window. Left clicking on a app/window should close the alt-tab and bring the selected item into focus. - Additionally the mouse scroll wheel should be active and allow the user to change focus in either direction To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/824965/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages Post to : dx-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

** Description changed: Touchinput is not correct recognisied in different programms: 1. In Firefox: i am not able to open dropdown menus like for example folders in the bookmarks-toolbar but also dropdown lists on websites: they open and are immediately closed again 2. In chromium there is also a strange behavior in dropdown menus, like the bookmarks-folder or the settings menu: they can be opened by touch but one can only select an element if one touches it very very fast, almost instantly otherwise there is just no reaction until i open the menu again. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1315384] Re: python-indicate not showing up in message indictor
Lars, when I run that code standalone it works. But when I do the import MessagingMenu from within a Gajim plugin, I get an ImportError exception. Any ideas what's wrong there? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to libindicate in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1315384 Title: python-indicate not showing up in message indictor Status in Libindicate: Confirmed Status in “libindicate” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Install python-indicate and libindicate-doc. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1312137] Re: Local menus broken for Qt apps after opening dialog
There are a Duplicate Bugs 1302084, 1315717 to this. But i am not sure which should be markt as Duplicate? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/appmenu-qt5/+bug/1315717 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/appmenu-qt5/+bug/1302084 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1312137 Title: Local menus broken for Qt apps after opening dialog Status in Unity: New Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have selected to have window menus in the window's title bar. This works great, except for Qt apps. After selecting a menu item in a Qt app that produces a dialog, the menu is no longer accessible. e.g. 1. Start qtcreator 2. Resize window so that it is not maximised 3. Select 'Help' -> 'About Qt Creator' 4. Dismiss 'About Qt Creator' dialog 5. Move mouse over window titlebar -> menu is no longer shown. The only way to get the menu back, is to switch to another window, and then back to the affected app. Note: This does not seem to affect the 'File' dialog from QtCreator - I'm assuming this is because it loads the Gtk file dialog.
