[Dx-packages] [Bug 833337] Re: Current timezone duplicates with saved locations

This is not fixed for me: Choose a non major city. E.g. "Bamberg,
Germany. It will show both Berlin and Bamberg in the indicator for some
reason.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1529499] [NEW] Allow fast switching between timezones

2015-12-27 Thread Kai Mast
Public bug reported:

In the control center i can add multiple timezones. Whenever I move

could just switch between my preconfigured locations.

This would also prevent things like #87

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1280555] Re: Square Icons should not have a border

2015-09-21 Thread Kai Mast
I am talking about how the icons are rendered in unity7.
A square icons gets an additional square border which seems off.

You can probably mark this as wont fix as unity7 is in maintenance mode.

[ffe] Power indicator does not combine multiple battery status

Bug description:
I have an EliteBook 8540w with internal and external battery running Ubuntu
11.10 (oneiric).
  Linux 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:56:25 UTC 2011 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The power indicator (indicator-power, version 0.9-0ubuntu2) does not combine
the status of both batteries.
E.g. if one battery still has 1 hour left, and the other has 2 hours left, it
will show 1:00 or 2:00, instead of 3:00.
E.g. When the external battery is almost run out (but the internal one is
still charged), the indicator becomes red, instead of staying white/grey. It
should only be red when both batteries are almost drained.
E.g. when the internal one is fully charged, and the external one is
discharging, the estimated time show is the estimated time that the external
one will be discharged, not taking into account the internal one. see attached
screenshot (total time show should be around 4 hours)

The original applet provided by gnome (I re-enabled the notification
area) does (still) have the behavior as I expect. In other words, this
  is a regression compared to 10.10 (pre-unity).

  : "If a device has
multiple batteries and uses only one of them at a time, they should be
presented as separate items inside the battery menu, but everywhere
else they should be aggregated. Their percentages should be averaged.
If any are discharging, the aggregated time remaining should be the
maximum of the times for all those that are discharging, plus the sum
of the times for all those that are idle. Otherwise, the aggregated
time remaining should be the the maximum of the times for all those
  that are charging."

I don't feel like this is fixed.

get a notification that I have 5 minutes left. I am confused

[ffe] Power indicator does not combine multiple battery status

Status in indicator-power package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1440061] Re: Grey out entry in Ubuntu Unity 14.04+

I think the problem is that your application runs in the background.
There is no way to bring it focus using the sound menu.

How do I close it?

Grey out entry in Ubuntu Unity 14.04+

Bug description:
  Hi!
I developed a player for play noise sounds from the sound indicator.

  I'm using this library:

http://theravingrick.blogspot.com.es/2011/02/easily-support-sound-menu-in-python.html
  in my code:
  https://code.launchpad.net/anoise

When the player is running, the entry in the sound indicator is grey out, as
you can see in the attachment.
But all works fine anyway. It's just the grey color.

I reviewed all the code and library and I'm stuck in this issue.
  FYI, these tests:
  1. With the precise indicator-sound is not grey.
  2. In Ubuntu MATE is not grey.
  3. The library is returning a critical error:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/10730511/ But others players aren't grey.

  Thanks in advance!!

Bug description:
This bug report is about the Quit option listed under the context menu
for all running programs in the Unity shell.

  I will start with examples:

   * Choosing Quit with Rhythmbox will close the main window, but the process
continues to run. (The indicator provides a duplicate Quit option that does the
right thing, but even if that was merged with the existing Quit option it would
not be a sustainable solution).
   * I have Dropbox running in the background, and Unity has cleverly added it
to the launcher panel with its indicator menu available. Choosing Quit does
nothing, because Dropbox is a daemon with no toplevel windows.

From the looks of it, Unity is just closing every window attached to
the application's process and wrongly assumes this will cause it to
quit. In fact, that often does not happen, and it is a very strange,
  semantically unclear behaviour.

  Desired solution:
  - Do the right thing by sending the _process_ a QUIT signal. If a GUI app
doesn't handle that signal properly, that is its problem and it should be fixed
there.
