Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/775502 Title: dconf-editor: set to default doesn't survive logout-in Status in d-conf package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Reproducable. Install dconf-tools. Open dconf-editor. Go to /desktop/unity/launcher. Click on the string, then click on the button 'Set to default'. String changes to default values. Logout-in, go to the string again, custom values are displayed again. Custom apps in launcher still exist too. Expected: 'Set to default' should display default values immediately after change in launcher and survive the change througout logout. [Dx-packages] [Bug 926900] Re: dconf-editor cursor-theme value says 'adwaita' default
The issue is fixed in dconf-tools 0.20.0-1, upgraded from 12.04 to 14.04. Standard cursor theme is 'DMZ-White'. Besides #4 is solved. ** Changed in: d-conf (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to d-conf in Ubuntu. With unity we don't have adwaita installed. ## skip here - solved. Set custom values for x-cursor with: sudo update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme In Precise it doesn't reflect the custom value. Currently selected 'white-glass', dconf-editor still says 'dmz-white'. (screenshot) In Oneiric it does reflect custom value. It's taking anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, but it sometimes makes the system completely unusable. 1. run Firefox 12.0 in the foreground 2. hit Alt to bring up HUD 3. type any text 4. select one proposal from HUD 5. wait for unity-panel-service and hud-service to fill up the remaining RAM and swap space. This is due to a high number of bookmarks in a user profile (hundreds).
