DX4WIN has always worked like that. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Version 8.03 will not start and freezes, the short version...
Please reply to Dave and/or the reflector, NOT ME. -- Forwarded message -- From: Dave Weiss Date: Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 5:54 PM Subject: Version 8.03 will not start and freezes, the short version... To: dx4win-requ...@mailman.qth.net Hi Group: Rig 756Pro3, Windows XP Using DX4Win 8.03 recently reloaded because of the following problem: I seem to have lost Rig Control. I can no longer click on a spot and have the Rig change band, frequency and mode. I can interact with the software on the screen and all seems normal. I suspect that I have a Port driver issue in that during the reload I saw reference to a lack of or missing port driver message. I just don't know what to do about it. If I return to 8.02 version, all works fine and other programs that use Com 1 & 2 work fine also. I think that this FAQ message is pointing to the fix. If this is the fix, what do I do with the information? Where do I put the string? for Win/NT/2000/XP: WinNT\System32\Divers\Vichw11.sys Thanks for your help. 73 Dave K3FT __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] ADIF to DX4WIN log conversion version 4.6 released
I have released version 4.6 of ADIF to DX4WIN, you can get it here: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/adif2dxq/ Here are the release notes: Ver 4.6 - 24 January 2010 Don't write sent serial number (SerNr=) to "Notes for this QSO" field if contest does not use serial numbers The problem corrected above was introduced in version 4.4. It only affects WriteLog, as WriteLog writes a sent serial number to the ADIF file for each QSO, even for contests that don't use serial numbers. If you find any problems in the program or documentation, let me know. If you need a conversion added, send me your ADIF file and tell me what contest it is for, and which logging program produced it. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

No such thing Bernie. DX4Win is till using an archaic method of generating the sidetone using the PC speaker which was really only intended to give audible beeps for troubleshooting computers long before sound hardware was standard. [Dx4win] CW Announce
Hi, Anyone know of a command to tell the computer to send all sound to external speakers? This would solve the CW Announce via internal speaker, especially now that my tower is under the desk, hi.
