hi!
the only way to control those drives is via that proprietary unnamed
sscnet-like protocol.
i have developed a pci interface adapter for that (YMDS2P)...

I tried digging through the manuals.  It looks like the 
drives are daisy-chained through some protocol from a 
Mitsubishi proprietary controller.  There is no mention of 
the protocol.
