[Firebird-net-provider] Firebird Tutorial for .NET 2.0: Firebird and Visual Studio .NET 2008

2009-03-28 Thread graf...@gmail.com
Dear everyone,

I'm trying to follow this tutorial:

http://www.firebirdsql.org/firebirdtutorial/firebird-and-visual-studio-net-2005.html

The first part "Firebird Data Access Designer (DDEX) installation" it
is OK, I did it and know I can connect to a FBD and also it is OK the
second part "Toolbox data components installation " I know I can add
the Firebird components to drop in forms of "Windows Application
Form". So until here first and second part of the tutorial is done.

My problems appears in the thid part of the tutorial "FbConnection
component"
when I want to to the second step "2. Click "..." next to the
ConnectionString property in the Properties Editor." because I don't
have this "three point" ("..."). So then the third step "3. Connection
String Editor dialog will appear. Now you can enter your values."
doesn't appear. Next steps are similar because I never got the "three
point" ("...") for the wizards.

I wish someone can help me with this or maybe indicate other very easy
tutorial for beginners.

Thank you very much.

Regards,
grafiky

Re: [Firebird-net-provider] VS2008 FbConnection.ConnectionString Designer

Incredible but I know this answer...
That option is no longer avaiable with DDEX 2.0.4, if you want to use it you
have to install previous versions. So your instalation its OK.
