I will tell you why; so shall my anticipation
prevent your discovery, and your secrecy to the king
and queen moult no feather.

I have of late—but wherefore I know not—
lost all my mirth, forgone all custom of exercises;
and indeed it goes so heavily
with my disposition that this goodly frame,

the earth, seems to me a sterile
promontory, this most excellent canopy, the air, look you,
this brave o’erhanging firmament, this majestical roof fretted
with golden fire, why, it appears no other thing to
me than a foul and pestilent congregation of vapours.

What a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason!

How infinite in faculty! In form and moving how
express and admirable! In action how like an angel!
In apprehension how like a god! The beauty of the
world! The paragon of animals!

And yet, to me,
what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not
me: no, nor woman neither, though by your smiling
you seem to say so.

mmmneh, one grunter did alright, methinks.

Actually, removing the escape that closes the console seems to me to be a
better idea as it is not only the completion help that causes this problem.
Sometimes I end up keyboarding something that opens a menu item, then Esc kills
the console and

Just use the window and you can generally avoid any run-ins with the
farmer or his knife-wielding wife...unless something else entirely is
going on and I've misunderstood.

In any case, I've attached two images. Pressing Escape for enumeration
clears the enumeration pop-up. Pressing Escape for syntax help hides the
debug pane. Maybe Alt-Escape, Alt-Tab or something similar could toggle
debug pane visibility.

All words came from half-human apes in caves making grunting sounds,
which at some point they decided was more useful than the usual boolean
expression of "hit with club" or "do not hit with club". The evolution
of language is a complex topic, and these days to some degree they all
bleed together borrowing from each other (especially English, which is
messy and fluid).

Different condition get different result

I don't have problem for *.txt and *.html file (With r7312 the bug has fixed
and try again with r7324 still fine). attach pic compare with 3.8.1 version

but when try *.class or *.module the bug still exist. (With r7324)

With special condition : the file is empty.

To reproduce it:
 - create test.class (class or module) file in /tmp directory
 - open with gambas text editor
 - add one or more lines at the end of this file
 - keep your cursor also at the end of the file
 - press the "Reload" button

I did, it's a great interview, thank you! As I am german I have problems
to understand fast spoken english fluently. But I could understand all
you said (but hung on the same question of Mr. Schwartz as you did :-) ).

My favorite usecase of Gambas is RAD (rapid application development). I
rewrite software of my firm (first written in MS Access VBA and
Postgresql) now in Gambas, which provides me a very easy, powerful,
reliable and fast to develop language. Because of the neighbourship of
Gambas to VBA I also can reuse alot of code!

Before I started with Gambas I tried out Python, Java, Groovy, Lazarus
and a couple of Web-Frameworks, but nothing could compare to Gambas.

So I think, Gambas is heavily underrated but will have a great future
because of it's superb quality.

Alles Gute

That's because the ComboBox's List property returns a copy of what's in it,
so modifying the array has no effect. You have to actually *set* the
property
to an array in order to change the contents.

Therefore, this :

   cbxProfile.Clear()
   cbxProfile.Add(MGlobal.DEFAULTSTR)
   cbxProfile.List.Insert(MGlobal.Profiles)

... becomes this :

   cbxProfile.List = [MGlobal.DEFAULTSTR].Insert(MGlobal.Profiles)

And there it works. :)

I agree that you can't really guess it, so I added it in the
documentation[0].

Haha! Wow! I must have been to dizzy yesterday :) Sorry about that!

But, then - why isn't this working:

cbxProfile.Add(MGlobal.DEFAULTSTR) 'This works
cbxProfile.List.Insert(MGlobal.Profiles) 'This adds nothing, even though
the array contains entries.

The code is already in FConfig as you can see, but is also supposed to
be run inside FQuick.Init()

[Gambas-user] [Gambas Bug Tracker] Bug #752: Gambas shows - gbx3: warning: trying to watch fd #-1

2015-09-20 Thread bugtracker
http://gambaswiki.org/bugtracker/edit?object=BUG.752&from=L21haW4-

Alexander KUIPER reported a new bug.

Summary
---

Gambas shows - gbx3: warning: trying to watch fd #-1

Type : Bug
Priority : Medium
Gambas version : Unknown
Product : Unknown

Description
---

Gambas3 3.8.1 (and trunk) will give this message in the console on Pi2 and
Cubieboard when the ServerSocket is used and other side closes the connection
earlier then our side. Only x86/x86_64 this message isn't seen, so most likely
a timing issue?

The reproduction scenario on Pi2 is as follows:
- Create a ServerSocket
- The ServerSocket passes it as a Socket, when somebody connects
- Socket is handling input/output
- Remote closes the connection via the normal TCP/IP FIN
- The message "gbx3: warning: trying to watch fd #-1" is sometimes shown on the
console

An important note:
- If Gambas closes the Socket before the client disconnects, no error/message
is ever shown

Looking into the gb.net/src/CSocket.c it looks Gambas closes the socket (on
request of the client), BUT forgets set GB.Watch to none and this message is
shown. It isn't shown always, so it looks like a timing issue.

2015-09-20 Thread Jussi Lahtinen
I rechecked your project, and no FQuick.Init() is not called. However
FConfig.Init() is called twice in MMain.Init(). So I assume that is
supposed to be for FQuick.
After making this modification in your code I get "I Profiles: test" to
console.

Changing Type of ValueBox deletes the control

Type : Bug
Priority : Medium

Description

Hi

the control is deleted and becomes invisible. This happens with both gtk and qt.

I do not understand what you mean by "Still no". MMain.Init() is calling
FQuick.Init()

As for the conf files, you can just place an empty file file with a
*.conf extension in the dir, or use the GUI to create a new profile (the
pluss sign in FConf).
