Re: [gentoo-user] Unreal tournament won't install
Wasn't UT-2003 I wanted to install, just plain ol' ordinary UT. Anyway... think I found out what the problem is: The ebuild passes '--target ${T}' when it should be '-target ${T}', that is with only one '-' before target... Would probably emerge fine with that small change, if it didn't need glibc-2.1 that is. Instead I've got glibc-2.3.2 which it don't seem to be able to link with. /Patrick On Wed, 19 Mar 2003 11:10:49 + MAL <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > MAL wrote: > > Patrick Börjesson wrote: > > > >> Doesn't work. [gentoo-user] Unreal tournament won't install
A little background. I had unreal-tournament-436 installed and working for several months, then I uninstalled it for extra hdd space, then I transfered a lot of video to CD and decided to re-emerge unreal tournament. This is the error I'm getting. >>> Install unreal-tournament-436 into /var/tmp/portage/unreal-tournament-436/image/ category app-games Creating directory /var/tmp/portage/unreal-tournament-436/temp mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/tmp/portage/unreal-tournament-436/temp': File exists ut-install-436.run: line 122: Cannot create target directory: command not found ut-install-436.run: line 123: you should perhaps try option -target OtherDirectory: command not found !!! ERROR: app-games/unreal-tournament-436 failed. !!! Function src_install, Line 78, Exitcode 1 !!! (no error message) rm -R /var/tmp/portage ; emerge rsync ; emerge unreal-tournament same error. rm -R /var/tmp/portage ; rm /usr/portage/distfiles/ut-install-436.run ; emerge rsync ; emerge unreal-tournament same error. I then tried editing /usr/portage/distfiles/ut-install-436.run to change the folder it used, and got an md5sum error. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them. -Gary -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
