2017-08-04 Thread Renee Fisher via Histonet
Need help the PIN4 has suddenly stop working we use P63+CK5+CK14 from Bio Care
Medical and P504S from Dako. We double stain on the Leica Bond with the
Polymer refine Red and Polymer Refine detection. This stain has worked
beautifully in the past. Any suggestions?

Thank you

[Histonet] new dako omnis machine vs current dako autostainer link 48

2017-08-04 Thread cafechague via Histonet
hi all!I'm validating our dako omnis. it is a brand new platform.  and I'm
aware that ten positive and negative controls for antibody validations are
needed for cap regulations.we are currently using the older dako stainerlink48
with all our antibodies already validated, but plan on moving it to a different
location. am i to perform the same protocol for both new and old stainers? or
can i just validate 5 positive and negative for the autostainerlink48, instead
of having to validate 10.any feedback is appreciated!-cae

[Histonet] biobond experience?

2017-08-04 Thread Travers, Susan via Histonet
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using biobond as an adhesive
for coating slides. We have used a chrome-alum/gelatin coating for years with
formalin-fixed, frozen brain sections and it works pretty well. However, with
certain stains (e.g., black-gold) we continue to have periodic problems with
sections loosening from the slide. Wondering if Biobond might be an
improvement?

Thanks for any insights

Re: [Histonet] Adenovirus antibody?

2017-08-04 Thread Jan Shivers via Histonet
Hello Paula,

This isn't an answer to your question, because I do use the Millipore
antibody (MAB805) and it works quite well on a Dako platform or done
manually. It requires enzyme digestion antigen retrieval. I use it at a
1:400 dilution (45 min) with a polymer detection system (45 min).

I'm not sure why it works on one platform but not another.

Best of luck,
