[Histonet] Artisan AFB contamination

2019-04-25 Thread Nancy Schmitt via Histonet
Hello-

Has anyone had any issues with AFB contamination on the Artisan special
stainer? We are doing a monthly process with alcohol and drying of the
containers and flushing the lines with alcohol per Technical support at Agilent
- still seeing it pop up occasionally.

Appreciate any thoughts-

Nancy Schmitt

[Histonet] Artisan barcode reading issue

2011-10-12 Thread Nancy Schmitt
Good Morning Histonetters!
Is anyone else having issues with reagent cartridges not reading on the Artisan
staining system? We have had this instrument for quite some time and have
started having problems with the barcodes not reading - a random cartridge from
a kit - not always the same one - pretty much no rhyme or reason. The area of
read has been cleaned (several times) but this continues to be an issue.

Thanks in advance-

RE: [Histonet] ARTISAN STAINER - DAKO - WASTE DISPOSAL

2011-02-22 Thread WILLIAM DESALVO

We use Clean Harbors Hazardous Waste Disposal to remove the liquid waste in
total. The Artisan's have their own waste stream and container.

2011-02-22 Thread Karen Kay
Hello,
A question for Dako's Artisan Stainer users as to what you are doing with the
Waste disposal and in particular the Trace Metals waste. Are you neutralizing
it and if so, could you provide proportions of waste to 0.85% NaCl?
We have recently started using the instrument and are trying to develop the
waste handling processes from the perpectives of safety of our staff and
meeting our regulatory guidelines. Thank you

Has anyone had background issues with the Gram stain on the Dako Artisan
Link? If so - how was it resolved?

Thanks

[Histonet] Artisan clips

2010-12-10 Thread Silverman, Jeffrey
Why do you hate the clips? There is a knack to putting them on and
removing them without breaking the slide, but it is easy to learn and easy to
do. Is that your problem, breakage? Just hook the thing in the back, squeeze
the tab in front and gently push down until it snaps in place. To remove,
squeeze the tab in front and lift up.

What makes me very unhappy though is Dako's impending cessation of IHC
support for the Artisan platform. It's great being able to do IHC and routine
specials together on the same run. IMHO they should tout that and the superb
quality of the IHC and special stains.

Hi all,

For any lab using the Dako Artisan for special stains, have you documented time
savings using the Artisan over manual methods? Any info you have will be helpful
