I don’t see a problem with it. We all melt and re-embed tissue for all kinds of reasons every day. I think it is much better for the tissue than keeping it warm for an extended period of time. Hi Paula, We routinely do this, especially for our fetal autopsy blocks. We are then able to process and let them set at room temp until we are able to embed and cut. Some cases are more urgent than others so these can be expedited a lot easier since they will only need embedding, sectioning and staining.
