Agreed.

If you're on tight budget, you could even look for an used PC, they usually
sell away for peanuts. Some PC store have them for sale (left by people who
bought newer ones).

I agree. Buy a cheap PC. Don't pollute your iMac. Just don't get an HP whatever
you do.

Using MS Windows

2013-07-08 Thread William Spencer
Hi there: Today is my first day with my new employer, and there are things I
have to do for them that require using Windows. Since I do not have a work
computer yet I seem to be in the unhappy position of having to install Windows
on the 1.83 iMac listed below. This is completely new territory for me, so
could someone please direct me to a good source of information on what version
of Windows I need to obtain, and basically everything I need to know about
dealing with this unfortunate development. Basic, meaning cheap, is fine with
me.

As always, my thanks in advance!

Uh... You get a Tiger CD and install it? You could even go as far as
Leopard, if you max out the RAM.

The last version of Safari supported on Panther (1.3.2) will probably
only work if you have the latest update to OS X, 10.3.8. Run Software
Update and get it.
