You could try a PRAM reset by holding down Command (the apple button)
Control and P and R at the same time. I had a G4 that wouldnt start up but i
could hear the hard drive spinning and such. The reset usually helped.

G3 600MHz iMac, dead?

2009-08-28 Thread Fran

I wrote in about a week ago for this same computer... symptoms are:
computer does not start
no chime
no light
no HD noise

The only sound is when you plug in the computer and push the on/off
button one can hear a small' bump' of power then nothing.
This computer was working fine for just over a week after I bought it.
(private party, not eBay or retail) No screen distortions, no color
problem, no internet problems, no freezing, no glitches.
Any speculations?

TIA,
Fran
