Hi there: I have a boatload of PDFs that all show the .pdf
extension. Is there a way to hide the extension on all of them at
once instead of getting info for them one by one (which is pretty
tedious)? As always, my thanks in advance!
In Finder's preferences, you can set it to hide the extensions.
But that's a Bad Idea...
Consider - what's the difference between these two files:
Report-1.pdf
Report-1.app
If you've hidden the extensions, or removed them, then you may not be
able to tell which file is the pdf and which is the application,
especially if the icon has been pasted. That is EXACTLY how trojans
work!!...
