Well selecting, sizing, cropping and layer merge is what the OP was asking
about. I know GIMP will do it and in a non - rocket science way. And it is
free.
I am also sure GIMP would batch process camp badges too. And the GIMP folks
have been laboring for the WWW for a long time ( serving the world) and
could use donation money.
Adobe haters should be suporting them if no one else.

It’s an excellent batch processor, as well as a quite functional editor. One of
my annual tasks is gathering a motley bunch of kid’s photos for our academic
summer camp, then running through cropping to 4x3, and exporting at 640c480 for
our badge making software for their camp badges. GC makes it a pice of cake;
$40 is dirt cheap for the functionality and Thorsten has been a Mac supporter
basically forever. I’m quite happy to give him my hard earned money.

Download and use GIMP.

It is free, capable and open source..

For music and audio files download and use Audacity.

Merging jpegs...?

2017-09-16 Thread William Spencer
Hi there: I think there must be a way to do this but I can’t figure out how
with the basic system apps I have. I have two jpeg images that I want to merge
together into one, so the original first one is at the top and the second one
is below it. Preview doesn’t seem able to do so, and I don’t see any other
out-of-the-box utilities that can do so. Any suggestions will be welcome.
Thanks in advance!
