Re: Replacement For Bias Peak?

2017-02-21 Thread davecheck
Jay T seems to have the simplest solution: install a virtual OS that Peak
(and SoundSoap of course) will work with.

My problem is just following the advice. I'm very much unlettered in
computer stuff and very nervous about something as exotic sounding as to
install a "virtual machine". And so, what I need is to have a telephone pal
who'll stay on the phone with me and take me through the job of installing
a virtual machine OS. Any kind hearted soul (or do I mean sole, if you're
into fish)?

You can get ahold of me at: david3...@verizon.net Thanks.

Hey there,

I'm familiar with and a fan of Peak, as well as BIAS sound soap. I would
suggest either running a virtual machine on your new Imac with the version of
OS X that supports your version of Peak.

Rogue Amoeba’s Fission is one . No
experience using it, though other RA apps I’ve used in the past are great ‘it
just works’ programs...

Replacement For Bias Peak?

2017-02-20 Thread dave
Hi All,

I just had to junk my old iMac. I got a newer iMac running Yosemite. But I
now find that my old, trusty audio editing software, (Bias Peak now
discontinued) doesn't seem to want to work anymore. Does anyone know that
Peak program? And, is there anything out there that'll match Peak
capabilities. (I know about Audacity, but the clean interface and some
capabilities of Peak don't quite match.

Anything else around anyone knows about? Thanks.

Dave
