DH, Saya sudah bisa setting web di LAN, dengan IIS. biasanya clien lihat web dengan tanpa authentication (user name dan password). Hari ini saya update dengan cara copy file ke inetpub >wwwroot. Printer-nya Laser di Jaringan Pak. Di capture bisa. Kalo di WinMe/98 itu kan 1 printer bisa beberapa nama, tapi kalo di WinXP kok ngga bisa yah (langsungan gitu..ngga nanya mau default ke under DOS atau under Windows). Di WinMe salah satu print setting-nya ke DOS shg bisa print program DOS tsb. Yth Milist IT Center, Sori dulu nich latar belakang masalahnya agak panjang. Dan bukan ngegosipin orang. Tapi karena saya kewalahan. Di kantor saya ada user yang kurang bisa diajak kerjasama dalam hal penggunaan komputer. Si user ini sukanya Download software (ada game, tools, utility, gambar BF). Dan bahkan tanpa segan-segan Install itu Software di Komputer. Sehingga sering sekali komputernya bermasalah kadang terkena Virus-lah, Spyware dsb. Sementara ada Program Aplikasi Database khusus dari perusahaan yang dibuat untuk posisinya. Pernah sampai saya harus install ulang karena Windows-nya sudah tidak bekerja dengan baik (sangat lambat). Dan saya sudah coba blok dia punya Windows dengan menggunakan Access Manager agar tidak bisa install, hide Add/Remove Program di Control Panel, dan disable download. Dan Internet Option-nya sudah saya set Web-site yang bisa dikunjungi dan kunci dengan password. Eh eh eh, malah nich orang makin bandel. Dia masuk hari minggu terus komputernya dia Install Ulang. Bos departemennya saja berani dia lawan. Gile [EMAIL PROTECTED]/ Berarti jalan satu-satunya saya harus memblok dia dari Server. Server saya Win 2000 server. User menggunakan Win 98. Bagaimana ya supaya: 1. Di Server, IP Iddress-nya diijinkan access internet tapi hanya Web-Site Tertentu saja dan Pemberlakuannya khusus, karena kalau semua user bisa Complaint nanti Direktur dan Manager segala (User di tempat saya ada 45 orang). 2. Di Server, IP Iddress-nya diijinkan access internet tapi tidak bisa download. 3. Atau mungkin ada software untuk Server yang bisa seperti itu? Di event viewer saya tidak terdapat error di application log.kecuali hanya
Error license exchange server 5.5 yg sudah saya uninstall tetapi tetap
muncul juga.
Saya juga sudah coba dengan gpupdate di masing2 client.tapi tetap saja tidak
berhasil.
Malah waktu saya coba buka registry client di HKLM_security
muncul pesan error "Cannot open SECURITY:Error while opening key"

Ndak masalah koq menggunakan underscore ("_") di nama domain anda di
Active Directory.
Saat ini kita tak punya informasi yang cukup untuk menentukan kenapa
hal ini terjadi. Bagaimana kalau dari komputer Windows XP client
Bapak menjalankan Start - Run, lalu ketik command "gpudate". Ini
cara kita memaksa si komputer Windows XP meminta update Group Policy
dari DC.
Kalau gagal, pasti ada event yang dicatat di Event Viewer -
Application Log, yang kita cari adalah event dari source Userenv.

Waduh bapak benar-benar ramah ya orangnya. Kemungkinan ini bermasalah dari Server.. Bisa dilihat dari Event Viewer di Server apa penyebabnya. Dulu saya pernah mengalami hal seperti ini. Solusi yang saya lakukan menambah memory Server-nya dan Defragment Hardisk pada Server (pada wkt yg tdk mengganggu aktifitas user cth: Minggu). Sampai sekarang semua clients tidak pernah mengalami hal itu lagi. Buat teman2 semua. Bagaimana cara masuk ke mode DOS (command prompt) pada awal start up? Karena komputer di password pada Bios dan awal waktu start, jadi pake disket start up nggak bisa masuk. Ndak masalah koq menggunakan underscore ("_") di nama domain anda di
Active Directory.
Saat ini kita tak punya informasi yang cukup untuk menentukan kenapa
hal ini terjadi. Bagaimana kalau dari komputer Windows XP client
Bapak menjalankan Start - Run, lalu ketik command "gpudate". Ini
cara kita memaksa si komputer Windows XP meminta update Group Policy
dari DC.
Kalau gagal, pasti ada event yang dicatat di Event Viewer -
Application Log, yang kita cari adalah event dari source Userenv.

Pak Sapto, Banyak penyebab yang bisa bikin services Exchange tidak bisa start. Pertama kami perlu tau versi Exchange yang anda gunakan, apakah 2000 atau 2003 (asumsi bukan 5.5 mengingat ada service MTA Stacks, bukan MTA saja)? Coba bapak start Exchange System Attendant lagi secara manual, kemudian kalau gagal coba masuk ke Event Viewer - Application Log. Akan ada error yang dicatat di situ, sourcenya bisa dari MSExchangeSA atau komponen Exchange yang tergantung pada MSExchangeSA, misalnya MSExchangeDSAccess. ada yang tau ngeblock Mac Address... problem: dikantor ada user yg sering curi2 ip yg bisa connect ke internet dng mengganti2 ip user yng ada dikantor dia coba2 dan. berhasil...karena user tsb pake os win 98.. kalau sy scan pakai IP Scanner MAC Address tdk berubah hanya ipnya saja yng berubah-ubah(karena user trial&error)..nah bgmn ya? caranya ngeblock MAC Add.. agar user tsb ganti2 ip tetap saja nggk bisa browse...
