Trims atas sarannya. Sebenarnya server tersebut cuma untuk internet dan file sharing, jadi anak-anak bisa ambil data dari server dan akses internet. Sekarang lagi mikir mau pakai kompie P4 yang support RAID SATA 5 atau Matrix RAID. Soalnya, menurut pengalaman dari Pak Stanley, dalam LAN yang lebih menentukan performance adalah sistem switch, dan kecepatan harddisk. Jadi sekarang lagi berusaha memaksimalkan kecepatan harddisk dulu. Mohon saran dan bantuannya. Trims atas masukkan. Server yang saya maksud akan digunakan di sekolah, jadi nggak sampai 24 jam, bisa jadi cuma 15 jam sehari, jadi termasuk server yang bisa nikmati hidup nih hehehe. LAN di IBM belum 100/1000, masih 10/100, soalnya barang second. Sekarang saya sudah tinggalkan kemungkinan untuk beli server IBM, karena melihat ada kemungkinan yang lebih baik. Disarankan oleh Pak Stanley, menggunakan RAID SATA. Saya cek beberapa tipe motherboard yang support RAID SATA 0, 1, 0+1, 5 dan Matrix RAID. Menurut keterangan Pak Stanley dan yang saya baca, dengan sistem RAID, alias beberapa harddisk dirangkai bersama untuk meningkatkan performance dan kecepatan akses client ke server. Sekarang ada pilihan: menggunakan RAID 5, yang minimal perlu 3 harddisk atau MATRIX RAID yang 2 harddisk (sepertinya teknologi baru). MATRIX RAID merupakan perbaikan dari RAID 0+1 yang memerlukan 4 harddisk. Regards, Johnny Y *Registrasi Prabayar Kirim SMS ke * Achmad Rouzni Noor II - detikInet Jakarta, Proses registrasi identitas pengguna kartu seluler prabayar serentak dimulai hari ini, Kamis (15/12/2005). Semua operator seluler akan menggalang proses registrasi melalui SMS, yang dikirim ke nomor pendek . Sebelum mengirim identitas diri melalui SMS, pelanggan seluler akan dikirimi SMS tata cara registrasi oleh masing-masing operatornya. Meski nomor pendek yang dipakai operator seragam, format registrasinya tidak seragam. Tapi jangan khawatir, karena pelanggan akan diberitahu formatnya dan dipandu dalam melakukan pendaftaran. Pemerintah melalui Ditjen Pos dan Telekomunikasi, menetapkan data yang wajib dikumpulkan operator dari pelanggannya. Dan pihak operator menjamin, pelanggan tidak dikenakan biaya sepeser pun dalam melakukan registrasi. Dalam pengumuman bersama yang dilakukan para operator dan Ditjen Postel, di kantor Departemen Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo), Kamis (15/12/2005), dijelaskan bahwa seluruh pengguna seluler akan mendapat SMS yang berbunyi: "Untuk kepentingan dan ketertiban penggunaan kartu prabayar Anda, daftarkan segera identitas Anda. Ketik: DAFTAR kirim SMS ke , GRATIS". Untuk selanjutnya, operator akan mengirimkan format pendaftaran yang harus diisi pelanggan, dengan cara mengirim SMS balasan ke nomor . Telkomsel misalnya, akan mengirim permohonan data yang dibutuhkan satu-persatu. Maksudnya, setelah pelanggan menyepakati proses registrasi, Telkomsel akan meminta nama pelanggan, yang harus dibalas pelanggan dengan mengetikkan nama lengkapnya lalu kirim ke . Kemudian permintaan nomor identitas, lalu pelanggan harus membalasnya dengan mengetikkan nomor identitas dan dikirim ke , demikian seterusnya sampai seluruh data yang diinginkan terpenuhi. Indosat lain lagi. Setelah mengirim SMS pemberitahuan untuk melakukan registrasi, pelanggan akan menerima SMS balasan berupa format registrasi yang wajib dipenuhi pelanggan. Formatnya adalah sebagai berikut: nomor kartu tanda pengenal#nama lengkap#alamat lengkap#tempat lahir#tanggal lahir#. Identitas pelanggan dikirim sesuai format, ke nomor . Untuk pelanggan Telkom Flexi caranya sedikit berbeda. Format yang disyaratkan operator fixed wireless ini adalah: REG*nomor identitas*nama*jenis kelamin*tempat lahir*tgl lahir*alamat*kota*. Semua data yang dikirim harus lengkap dan valid, sesuai dengan kartu identitas yang dipakai seperti KTP, SIM, kartu pelajar atau paspor. Setelah mengirimkan data dengan benar, pelanggan akan mendapat SMS balasan sebagai berikut: "Terimakasih registrasi lengkap" apabila data yang diterima sistem sudah sesuai. Tapi apabila belum lengkap, SMS balasan akan berbunyi: "Registrasi belum lengkap,agar diulangi [diikuti dengan format yang ditetapkan masing-masing operator]". Masih Perlu Validasi Tidak berhenti sampai disitu saja, pelanggan juga diwajibkan mengirim fotokopi bukti identitas yang disertakan dalam registrasi. Pengirimannya bisa diserahkan langsung ke gerai-gerai operator, atau dikirim melalui PT. Pos, ke alamat yang ditetapkan setiap operator. Pemerintah memberi batas waktu sampai 28 April 2006 untuk melakukan registrasi. Jika tidak, nomor akan mati alias tidak bisa dipakai lagi. Sementara untuk validasi bukti identitas, operator diberi kesempatan untuk melakukannya secara terus-menerus, tidak terbatas sampai 28 April 2006 saja. Untuk menyebarluaskan pekerjaan penting ini, operator dan Ditjen Postel akan melakukan sosialisasi melalui pemasangan iklan di media masa. Thanks, Fungsi server cuma untuk file server dan internet sharing doang. Mohon informasi: Pentium 3, 1 GHz server, SCSI harddisk dibanding dengan Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz, SATA 2 Harddisk, mana yang lebih bagus digunakan sebagai server untuk file dan internet sharing. Setahu saya transfer harddisk SATA2 bisa mencapai 300 MB/s, sedangkan SCSI kayaknya ngak secepat begini. Lagian, kecepatan prosesornya P4 juga jauh lebih cepat. Masalahnya ada di klo mo pairing en transfer data dengan HP maupun dengan device lain. Klo transfer dari HP ke pC kadang2 gak mau malah Hp jadi hang tapi sebaliknya Klo dari PC bisa itupun klo agak dipaksakan. Aku juga setuju. Mmg klo harus Fresh install itu butuh waktu yang agak lama daripada upgrade trus kedepannya bermasalah. Apa kita bisa yakin klo windows versi yang lama itu tidak bermasalah? Ntar diupgrade malah tambah masalah. Masalah kompabilitas hardware, saya juga merasakan adanya perbedaan. Waktu saya pake Windows 98 SE sistem gak stabil.mis: muter winamp sambil scanning pake antivirus ,output suara putus-putus sperti sistem gak mampu beda sewaktu setelah saya pake WIN XP. Begitu saya format total dan saya install XP sistem bisa stabil. Suaranya gak putus-putus lagi dan ampe sekarang baik-baik aja tuh. Mengenai outlook saya juga backup e-mail pake Genie kadang-kadang ampe diatas 5 MB tapi NO PROBLEM! Jadi saran saya Ya difresh Install aja! Kan harus ganti driver juga utk hardware2 yang lain. Apa driver yang lama masih kompatibel ama WIN XP? Ngak kan! Temen-temen disini Cuma ngasih masukan berdasarkan pengalaman2 mereka. Terserah mo dituruti apa gak. Ada pepatah Pengalaman adalah guru yang terbaik. Klo menurut saya itu adalah Spyware dan adware. Mmg kadang -kadang hal sperti itu sangat menyebalkan.Spyware-spyware maupun adware sering memanfaatkan kelemahan dan mengeksploitasi ACTIVEx pada IE walaupun itu pada SP2. Mgkin bisa dicoba browser lainnya Sperti Mozilla FIREFOX, opera, Netscape dll. Klo discan make anti virus kadang-kadang bisa tapi kadang2 juga gak terdeteksi.ato coba setting Defaultnya Ke ABOUT BLANK: Delete semua HISTORY, COOKIES, dan FILE di temporary Internet FILEs. Coba anda scanning dengan program-program anti spyware-adware dengan Update terbaru sperti Spybot search and Destroy, ad-aware, microsoft anti-spyware dll. Ada beberapa kemngkinan yang bisa menyebabkannya : 1. Klo Ad-ware ato spyware menyabot wallpaper sehingga sering muncul di desktop dan mengarahakan kita ke situs tertentu. Mgkin cara ini bisa dicoba Coba Klik [Start]--->[Setting]--->[control panel]. Pada jendela control panel, dobel klik pada ikon [ Display]. Pilih opsi [Desktop][customize display], lalu [WEB]. Pda kotak dibawah " Web Pages" terdapat opsi security.pilih opsi yang dimaksud lalu kli DELETE. 2. Anda juga bisa menghapusnya dari IE melalui registry editor. PERHATIAN!!!ini sangat beresiko bagi yang belum pernah mengutak-atik registry klo mo mencoba harus memback-up registry sistem anda terlebih dahulu! Ato minta tolong yang sudah mengerti ttg registry. Klo mo coba klik menu start--->RUN--->ketikkan regedit lalu enter lalu tekan tombol CTRL+F. dalam kotak FIND WHAT masukkan nama search engine tersebut lalu tekan ENTER. Jika ditemukan tekan tombol DELETE. Setelah itu, tekan F3 untuk meneruskan pencarian dan jika ditemukan lagi tekan tomobol delete lagi. Ulangi langkah ini sampe muncul pesan FINISHED SEARCHING THROUGH REGISTRY. Sekali lagi jangan gegabah dengan registry Klo sampe salah sistem anda akan Kacau Klo anda ragu-ragu lebih baik coba pake tool-tool anti spyware/adware. Cara diatas klo mmg tidak bisa dihilangkan dengan tool-tool tersebut tpi pengalaman saya Bisa koq. 3. Ato pake browser lainnya Seperti Mozilla FIREFOX, OPERA yang lebih baik daripada Internet Explorer dari segi security dan kinerjanya.
