Mudah2an berkenan,

Beberapa hari lalu saya ditanya oleh salah seorang temen saya,

"Bagaimana settingan di ISP tentang leased line berkaitan dengan penggunanan
line khusus & cara pembagian sesuai sewa bandwithnya "

Jadi ketika modem leased line di customers itu ngedial... itu kemana dulu...
??? ke telkom atau ke ISP, dan gmn kronologi nya?

Apakah customers > dial > telkom > forward > ISP (dibagi bandwithnya)

Trus gmn sih cara pembagian bandwith di ISP?

Btw, Ane kok malah jadi bingung nanyanya... haahahaha...

Memang betul ada beberapa fan dengan konstruksi yang baik, yg bisa
menurunkan noise. Tapi biasanya lebih mahal. dan gak ada disemua tempat.
Tapi tidak selalu watt yg besar memberikan "cfm" yang besar. justru
lebih baik cari dengan watt yang sama tapi memberikan cfm yg lebih
besar. Dan perlu diketahui tidak semua mobo sanggup mensuplay fan untuk
heatsink lebih dari 0.5 ampere, stock fan biasanya berkisar 0.25 - 0.4
ampere . Dan biasanya fan2 dengan performa tinggi, watt lebih dari 0.6
ampere disediakan konektor daya langsung dari psu.

Kmrn saya main ke rumah temen, dia punya kompi P4,
Mobo Asus, CPU nya itu
mengeluarkan suara yang sangat keras/berisik, sampe2
meja komputernya
bergetar, padahal dia cuma pake kipas 1 di Prosesor
aja. kira2 itu gimana ya
cara mengatasinya ?kalo dibandingkan dengan kompi saya
dengan Mobo ECS,
prosesor AMD, pake kipas di cassing 2 +1 di prosesor
gak seberisik itu
banget.

Satu lagi, cassingnya juga nyetrum lumayan besar kalo
dibandingkan dengan
kompi sayapadahal dia udah make stabilizer.

Mohon bantuan & saran nya...

Kalau CPUnya bergetar sampai meja komputer bergetar, itu disebabkan
bilah-bilah fan-fan nya sudah tidak seimbang, antara lain ada yang patah
atau memang mutunya jelek.
Sebagai perbandingan, coba jalankan kipas angin merek terkenal seperti
Sanyo, Panasonic, maka di speed tertinggipun kepala dan tiangnya tidak akan
bergetar. Tapi coba jalankan kipas angin di bawah 100rb an, seperti Nanotec,
Nasional apa lah, begitu dijalankan, maka kepala dan tiangnya akan bergetar
keras.
Jadi ganti saja kipas nya dengan yang baru.  Kalau tidak, lama-kelamaan
bushing atau bearing kipasnya akan aus dan putarannya akan melambat dan
berarti panas yang dibuang akan berkurang dan bisa merusakkan prosesor.

Mengenai chassis atau konektor yang terasa ada setrumnya,  disebabkan
komputer tidak mendapatkan grounding.  Untuk mudahnya, gunakan stop kontak
dinding yang diyakini, ground nya sudah terpasang.  Kalau menggunakan
Eextension Cord, gunakan yang isi kabelnya 3, bukan hanya 2 seperti yang
umumnya dijual.
Cara lain, adalah menggunakan kabel yang sudah dikupas kedua ujungnya, yang
satu dibelitkan di jepit ke baut chassis CPU dan yang satunya lagi ke kawat
pada stop kontak dinding. Bisa juga dengan cara seperti yang pak bAKT
usulkan.

Untuk IGOS+OpenOffice yang sudah dicoba, apakah dipakai dlm network dgn user
lebih dari 50 orang ?
Bagaimana dgn access, beberapa program ada yg pakai ms access, apabila
diganti dgn openoffice apakah program tsb tetap bisa berjalan ?

Kalau ditempat kami tidak menggunakan IGOS (krn baru kali ini tau ada
aplikasi IGOS).
Selama ini kita menggunakan OpenOffice (OO) dan tidak banyak menemukan
kendala baik untuk presentasi, menulis dokumen, spreadsheet dan sebagainya.
Malah banyak mempunyai kelebihan dibanding MS Office seperti dapat langsung
export ke pdf, jumlah byte file lebih rendah (hampir 50%) dibanding pake MS
Office.

Oke makasih semuanya. Masalahnya sudah teratasi dengan mencabut kabel
power-nya juga selain mencabut baterai CMOS. Ternyata selama ada aliran
listrik walaupun komputer sudah dimatikan, masih bisa menyuplai tenaga buat
CMOS. Untuk BIOS passsword recovery (CMOSPwd) sudah saya coba juga tapi
tidak kompatibel dengan BIOS-nya PC ini.

Dijamin fan dengan watt lebih besar bakalan lebih bising, boleh tes
sendiri deh..
Kemungkinan bergetar, fan udah kehilangan pelumas atau longgar atau
juga mungkin ada fin yg patah. Ketidak seimbangan membikin fan menjadi
bergetar..

[ITCENTER] Switch yang bagus apa ya ?

Mohon masukan,

Untuk saat ini switch yang bagus apa ya dari segi kecepatan koneksi.
Apakah jenis Router yang digunakan juga akan mempengaruhi ? 
Apakah ada yang diatas 10 /100.Saya pernah dengar dengan technologi Gigabyte.

Bagaimana dengan merk 2x ini. 3com, d-link, linksys,Allied ada yang punya 
pengalaman ?
Ukuran switch itu bagus dan handal apa ya selain kecepatan ?

Kalau memang fannya.. coba ganti aja sama yang ga bising tapi putaran n
wattnya sama atau lebih besar.. banyak koq.
Urusan grounding, kalau groundnya jelek coba kasi kawat aja ujung pertama
dipasang ke tanah, yg satunya lagi ke casing..

kalau 29 inch pakai resolusi 1024x768 lumayan mengerikan icon2nya..^_^
mungkin bisa juga dicoba resolusi lebih tinggi seperti 1600x1200 tp dengan
setting refresh rate lebih rendah, mungkin bisa

Kagem Eko,

Anda mesti mengganti, fan dengan yg lebih pelan. Tapi konskensinya
prosesor jadi sangat panas. Beberapa prosesor p4 yg cukup baru,
mempunyai panas yg lumayan tinggi, diatas 50C untuk iddlenya.
Kalo mungkin bergetar karena sudah rusak bisa diganti yg baru.
Tapi kalo tetap masih berisik memang perlu diganti dengan produk after
market yg lebih silent tapi punya performa tinggi.
komputer nyentrum, karena Jala2 listrik anda tidak mempunyai
"grounding" yang baik. Bisa diakali dengan menancapkan paku ke
dinding, terus hubungkan dengan kabel ke kesing. Atau hubungkan dengan
pipa ledeng/pam. Kalo mau bagus lagi, coba bikin grounding dengan
menanam batang tembaga sekitar 2 meter ke tanah dan hubungkan dengan
kesing komputer.

Memang maks resolusi tv nya cuma segitu.. Sudah lebih dari sangat
cukup untuk meliat movie. Memang itu fungsi utamanya.
Kalopun vga card Anda bisa lebih dari 1600x1200, tetap saja sangat
jarang monitor mempunyai resolusi seperti itu..

Harus buka regedit terlebih dahulu...

Caranya: ke website www.symantec.com dan cari saja cara ngebasmi virus
brontok / brontox ... nanti di web itu ada tools untuk meng enable-kan
registry... bentuknya flat file seperti installation script

Sesudah bisa buka registry , hapus GUID dari SNAP in GPEDIT.MSC

Caranya:

Ketik cmd, ketik gpedit.msc ... nanti ada tanda silang dalam lingkaran merah
yang mengatakan snap-in tidak bisa dibuka ... catat 16 digit GUID nya ...

Balik ke regedit, cari pake find, 4 angka terakhir ... hapus saja beberapa
key, tapi sebelumnya, buat backup dulu sebelum hapus  ada beberapa
lokasi ... saya lupa

Setelah itu gpedit.msc bisa dijalankan dari cmd...

Mohon bantuannya dong...
Saya melakukan kesalahan saat mengeset gpedit.exe, akibatnya
semua program lewat explorer tidak bs dijalankan, hanya ada 1 yg bs.
gpedit, regedit, command prompt, dsb tidak bs dijalankan juga.
Hanya satu program tadi aja yg bs.
Saya keliru ngisi saat di :

Local Computer Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates >
System > Run only allowed Windows applications.

Saya sekilas bacanya itu buat ngeset untuk 'tidak bisa' menjalankan program
tertentu. Ternyata itu ngeset buat 'bisa' menjalankan program tertentu saja.
Sekarang saya jalanin program2 dari command prompt,
command prompt tsb saya taruh start-up, karena di jalanin seperti biasa
tidak
bisa. Untuk regedit maupun gpedit tetep tidak bs meskipun di taruh start-up.
Ada yg bisa bantu?
Saya sudah mencoba copy dari komp lain, baik regedit maupun gpedit, tetapi
tetep blm bisa.

[ITCENTER] Mengurangi suara bising di CPU...

Hai All.

Kmrn saya main ke rumah temen, dia punya kompi P4, Mobo Asus, CPU nya itu
mengeluarkan suara yang sangat keras/berisik, sampe2 meja komputernya
bergetar, padahal dia cuma pake kipas 1 di Prosesor aja. kira2 itu gimana ya
cara mengatasinya ?kalo dibandingkan dengan kompi saya dengan Mobo ECS,
prosesor AMD, pake kipas di cassing 2 +1 di prosesor gak seberisik itu
banget.

Satu lagi, cassingnya juga nyetrum lumayan besar kalo dibandingkan dengan
kompi sayapadahal dia udah make stabilizer.

Mohon bantuan & saran nya...

hallo all,

Mau tanya donk, ada yang tau bagaimana caranya misahin lagu jadi minus 
one?
jadi suara orang yang nyanyi ilang dan hanya kedengeran suara musiknya 
aja. kalau ada yang tau programnya mohon dikasih tau, sukur2 ada yang 
gratisan.

Dan satu lagi, kalau mau bikin presentasi dengan PPT, kadang kalau kita 
edit di laptop maka di layar LCD projector akan kelihatan proses editnya, 
jadi terlihat seperti "edit on the run", ada gak ya program yang bisa edit 
di laptop tapi ndak terlihat di layar LCD projector? (jadi bisa edit 
seperti di balik layar)
ada yang usulkan dari monitornya (dual monitor di laptop) sayangnya milik 
saya tecra 8000 dan tampilannya hanya satu monitor alias gak ada model 
dual persis kaya PC.
yang parahnya lagi LCD saya tidak ada option untuk "pause" nya. ada yang 
bisa kasih solusi? terima kasih.

[ITCENTER] Install Ubuntu 6.06 LTS di Pentim III

Dear Netter,
   
  Saya baru trima kiriman Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (autorun) dan setelah saya intall ( 
Dual Boot dengan XP ) ternyata tidak bisa sukses. Pada saat booting via CD 
tampilannya ada dan saya pilih " Start and Install Ubuntu " setelah itu Loading 
Linux Kernel berjalan dengan baik setelah itu lama kemudian timbul image 
berisikan  Window Manager sampai lama kemudian akhirnya Display BLANK.
   
  Saya coba run Linux via Safe Mode tetap tidak bisa.
   
  Adapun spec compi saya adalah :
   
  Pentium III, 800MHz
  RAM : 128 MB
  Bios : Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG
  HD : Maxtor 40GB, dengan 3 Partisi dengan format NTFS :
  - C: XP Prof,
  - D: direncanakan untuk Linux Ubuntu dan
  - E: Data.
  
   
  Apakah ada pengaruh karena ketiga partisi HD saya format NTFS dengan XP Prof 
??
   
  Mohon bantuannya dong mungkin ada teman yang pernah mengalaminya.

[ITCENTER] Komputer pakai TV plasma

Teman2,
Saya mo pakai TV plasma untuk display komputer, cuman
ada yang bingung. Kalau spek TVnya mengatakan resolusi
hanya 1366 x 768, apakah tidak bisa menampilkan
resolusi yang lebih tinggi dari itu?
misalnya saya VGA card komputer saya bisa sanggup
resolusi diatas itu pada saat menggunakan monitor
biasa, apakah itu berart TV plasmanya tidak bisa?

Contoh:
net use \\192.168.0.1 \IPC$ /user:administrator\Password
net time \\192.168.0.1 /set /y

Usahakan server yang dijadikan patokan penyamaan waktu "Sync Time" tidak
bermasalah
Save as sebagai "synctime.bat"
Atur aktivitasnya di "Scheduled Task" dengan konfigurasi "When My Computer
Starts"

Di ganti SEL - nya aja...SELuruh - nya maksudnya hehehehe alias beli 
baru.
  (coll becanda) hehehehe. Tapi kalo masih ingin mencoba bawa ke tukang 
service dulu atau bisa juga mencoba sendiri langkah2 berikut :
   
  Coba periksa apakah ada kertas yang nyangkut atau tidak (kertas biasanya 
mengganggu meskipun cuman sobekan kecil), atau biasanya catrigenya letaknya gak 
pas atau tutup printernya yg gak rapat. 
   
  Kalo sudah diperiksa and sudah dibersihkan sebelum memprint sesuatu bersihkan 
printernya dulu dgn klik :
  setting printer -> klik propertis dr printer yg digunakan -->> klik 
maintenance >cleanning dan roller cleanning 
   
  trus setelah selesai coba tes print di general propertis.
   
  Kalo masih ngadat juga bawa ke tukang service biar lebih tahu apa sebabnya OK.
   
  Mohon maaf kalo nggak berhasil.soalnya itu cuman berdasarkan kebiasaan 
saja pas printer lagi ngadat...siapa tahu ada yg punya ide lebih bagus dari 
sang ahli???

[ITCENTER] URGENT : RESET GPEDIT.MSC

Dear All,

Mohon bantuannya dong...
Saya melakukan kesalahan saat mengeset gpedit.exe, akibatnya
semua program lewat explorer tidak bs dijalankan, hanya ada 1 yg bs.
gpedit, regedit, command prompt, dsb tidak bs dijalankan juga.
Hanya satu program tadi aja yg bs.
Saya keliru ngisi saat di :

Local Computer Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System 
> Run only allowed Windows applications.

Saya sekilas bacanya itu buat ngeset untuk 'tidak bisa' menjalankan program
tertentu. Ternyata itu ngeset buat 'bisa' menjalankan program tertentu saja.
Sekarang saya jalanin program2 dari command prompt,
command prompt tsb saya taruh start-up, karena di jalanin seperti biasa tidak
bisa. Untuk regedit maupun gpedit tetep tidak bs meskipun di taruh start-up.
Ada yg bisa bantu?
Saya sudah mencoba copy dari komp lain, baik regedit maupun gpedit, tetapi
tetep blm bisa.

batre dicabut maka bios akan kehilangan power yang mengakibatkan reset to

Kalau ditempat kami tidak menggunakan IGOS (krn baru kali ini tau ada
aplikasi IGOS).
Selama ini kita menggunakan OpenOffice (OO) dan tidak banyak menemukan
kendala baik untuk presentasi, menulis dokumen, spreadsheet dan sebagainya.
Malah banyak mempunyai kelebihan dibanding MS Office seperti dapat langsung
export ke pdf, jumlah byte file lebih rendah (hampir 50%) dibanding pake MS
Office.

Oh kabel powernya sepertinya harus dicabut, karena saat itu berarti sebagian
rangkaian di mother board kan mendapat tegangan listrik untuk menyalakan
komputer kalau tombol powernya kita tekan beberapa saat.  Jadi coba lakukan
lagi, yaitu cabut batere nya dan juga cabut kabel powernya.  Sepertinya bisa
tuh.

Coba Anda cari di manualbooknya, kalo ada. Atau tanya ke vendor komputernya.
Kalo tidak ada coba cek jenis mobo yang Anda pake, mungkin nanti bisa di
googling. Seri mobo bisa diketahui dengan s/w utility, macem everst, pc
wizard, sisoftsandra atau yg lain. atau mungkin juga bisa dari seri
komputernya sendiri, nanti mungkin bisa saya bantu cari di internet.
Tapi kalo ternyata tidak dalam keadaan hidup mungkin bisa dicatat, seri
yang ada di mobonya..

Mas Davis, setahu saya Pentium IV 2,5 Ghz ada koq.
Setahun yg lalu saya pernah baca di koran Kompas
yg membahas benchmark mainboard yg dipasang dgn
prosesor Pentium 4 2,5 Ghz. Tapi kayanya sich untuk
yg speed 2,5 Ghz sangat jarang sekali yg masuk Indonesia,
cuma ada beberapa saja.

Saya ada trik.. ga resmi dan mungkin juga beresiko..(hehe..serem kah??)..
So far so good sih..tapi ga jamin yah kalau kondisi lain.
pakai kawat logam, 'short' 2 atau lebih kaki dari bios chip, lalu tekan
tombol power untuk nyalakan.. shortnya sebentar aja (ga sampai 1
detik)..setelah PC nyala jgn dishort lagi.
Kalau berhasil akan muncul cmos failure dsb..

Saya pernah coba kasus seperti ini, coba cabut semua kabel yang ke MB termasuk 
kabel power dari PS.
Terus, bikin short antara plus minus-nya batere CMOS. Atau kalau masih gak 
mempan juga, bikin short beberapa chipset terutama yang dekat batere cmos.

Karena komputer built-up jadi ada beberapa bagian motherboard yang tidak
terlihat tertutup oleh design power-supplynya. Kalo mau dibongkar cukup
merepotkan karena ada bagian yang kayaknya susah dilepas karena tidak
memakai sekrup. Mungkin disengaja agar tidak sembarang orang yang bisa
mencabut motherboardnya. Saya sudah cari2 pake senter segala tapi emang gak
ada keterangan apapun. Posisi BIOS-nya aja ketutup jadi yang bisa dijangkau
cuman baterai. Mungkin bisa pake software ya, tapi yang run under Windows.
Ada yang tau softwarenya? Saya baru dapet satu tapi gak kompatibel dengan
Phoenix BIOS. Iya, P4-nya 3Ghz koq..hehehe kurang teliti waktu nulisnya tapi
kan gak ngaruh...

Saya kebetulan jarang otak atik presentasi, seringnya lebih ke
spreadsheet.
MS Office ketika buka Excel kosong, cuman butuh pertambahan RAM 30MB
Open Office 2.x dan Star Office 8, makan RAM 138MB.

Jadi memang kalau mau hemat duit pakai license Star/Open Office, mau
gak mau hardware kudu diperbesar ke paling tidak 1GB RAM.
Seperti Ryo bilang, kebanyakan pengadaan dari vendor di Indonesia,
masih mengandalkan pada kelas RAM 256 MB :(
Begitu vendor pakai pengadaan dengan price list 1GB, mereka kena sikat
oleh vendor lain yg lebih murah. Hal ini mungkin terjadi karena banyak
pembeli yang cuman baca requirement Windows XP, 256MB. Just that :(

saya kebetulan pakai Win XP Pro dan Linux berbarengan dan dual boot.
Kedua browser pakai Firefox. Kebetulan juga mesinnya pakai RAM 1 - 2
GB dan saya punya pola membuka banyak web site sampai lebih dari 10
pages untuk keperluan research.

Dari situ saya mendapatkan fakta bahwa semakin banyak page yg saya
bukan, dan makin banyaknya Java Applet atau gambar gambar yg berubah,
Firefox di Windows kadang lock up atau pagenya jadi menyentak-nyentak.
Tadinya tak pikir perbedaan browser, tapi ada yg membahas di sini
membahas sumber masalahnya, yaitu keterbatasan konektivitas TCP/IP di
WIndows yang bukan Server class. Dibatasi sampai 5-10 koneksi(?)
sehingga hal ini terjadi.

Ada juga workaround dengan mengganti TCPIP.SYS, kalo tidak salah.

Kyknya monitornya dah mau K.O deh..
ga ada hubungannya sama Office...mungkin dah sensi banget sama perubahan
fosfor yang drastis akibat tembakan sinyal dari fosfor gun ke CRT tube waktu
minimize dan maximize aplikasi
Kalo teknisnya kurang nyambung maap2.. lagi2 ga sempet nge-wiki.. hehe

lho, nggak dapet kiriman brosur dari mereka? mereka klaim bisa
memampatkan komunikasi data dengan network device mereka, jadi WAN
bisa terasa cepat. itu gue juga dapet kiriman brosur gara2 apply USB
hub gratisan dari mereka. :P

ini ngomongin igos yang pake java desktop buatan sun ya?

saya cuma bisa cerita kalo pakai open office. untuk presentasi itu
pakai yang namanya impress, ini bisa baca format powerpoint, tapi
nggak 100% bisa dikonversi dengan sempurna, kadang ada format yang
hilang. lalu relatif lambat untuk jumlah memori yang sama, misalnya
sama2 256 MB, di impress akan terasa lebih lamban. beda kalo udah
sama2 2 GB, relatif sama cepat (cuma kayaknya beruntung banget bisa
dapet desktop kantor dengan memori 2 GB kalo cuma buat office doang).
