Sudah coba di terminal USB yang lain ?  Biasanya, setiap komputer mempunyai 2 
atau 4 bahkan ada yang 6 terminal.

Anda colok Flashdisk tsb di port USB bagian depan komp
atau di bagian belakang komp ? Klo di bagian depan saya
curiga masang kabelnya salah. Biasanya ada VCC- (minus),
VCC+ (plus), grounding dan satu lagi kabel warna merah
(namanya lupa). Jadi colokan kabel tsb ke colokan USB
di mainboard ketukar atau salah posisinya. Jadi setiap anda
colok Flashdisk, otomatis bakal hang.

Yup..mikrotik online 24 jam.

Kemaren dah saya upgrade procesornya jadi P4 3Ghz dan cpu load turun jadi
10-20 % oh iya saya lupa kasih info packet yg lewat sekitar 5000-7000 p/s.
Ada yg pernah coba vyatta? vyata ini software router based on debian.
mungkin bisa share

 

Btw, kalo baca2 info di website mikrotik..mikrotik memang di peruntuk untuk
penetrasi internet di level middle jadi mungkin segmen pasarnya beda kalo di
bandingkan cisco,juniper dll yg memang banyak pilihan series..

dgn O/S Linux redhat. Bagaimana ya caranya untuk men-download data tersebut ?

kalau yang mengambil power dari USB / firewire, sepertinya kita
ngomongin hdd 2.5". buat saya pribadi sih yang kayak gini lebih
rentan, bukan cuma dari masalah power, tapi juga masalah unmount yang
tidak sempurna, karena sifatnya yang portabel. bisa saja kabel
konektornya kesenggol sehingga lepas secara tidak sengaja.

Barcode, hanya untuk mempermudah proses pemindaian yang di bandingkan harus 
dilihat dan dicatat.  Keamanan nya sangat lemah.  Bar Code yang ada di kartu, 
tinggal di foto copy, di scan kan, di jamin lewat tuh.

Magnetic Card, lebih aman sedikit, karena alat perekamnya tidak mudah diperoleh 
di pasaran.  Kelemahannya, sangat rentan terhadap magnit, sehingga kalau 
terkena, data di cardnya, pasti rusak.

Chip Card, nah ini yang sampai saat ini masih bisa disebut aman, walaupun sudah 
mulai ada yang bisa menggandakan, antara lain untuk menonton siaran dari antena 
parabola yang di acak.

dari namanya saja, port serial dan paralel adalah dua hal yang jauh
berbeda. sepertinya yang anda maksud 'parallel port' adalah port
serial yang menggunakan interface rs-232 dengan konektor DB-25.

Mohon bantuan kawan-kawan semua. Saya punyamasalah dengan Jaringan.
Bagaimana installasi Sebuah Jaringan untuk Laboratorium Komputer di sebuah
kampus. Peralatan yang saya punya antara lain :
a. 20 unit PC
b. Operating System Windows XP SP2
c. 1 unit PC mungkin untuk Server
d. 2 buah Hub 16 dan 6 Port
e. 2 Buah Modem JKnetworks bawaan Speedy

installasi yang sudah ada adalah 1 unit pc yang sudah ada tidak berfungsi
sebagai server.
Mohon bantuan kawan-kawan, bagaimana seharusnya installasi yang baik dengan
spesifikasi peralatan yang saya sebutkan diatas.

  Kalo dulu saya pake Tiramisu untuk data recovery nya dgn kondisi HDD msh bisa 
ke detect. Tp saya menggunakan tiramisu yg versi lama yg hanya dapat meng cover 
maksimal kapasitas HDD 10 GB. Coba search and download aja Tiramisu Data 
Recovery untuk versi yg terbaru mas.

Klo Toad 9 sepertinya  tidak compatible dengan Oracle 10G DB, tapi untuk toad 
ver 8.X itu bisa. Tapi klo di IT center itu global ya untuk masalah IT. Coba 
mas Ben liat di Indo Oracle. Disitu site forum untuk masalah yg lebih spesifik 
seperti Oracle baik untuk developer, dba dsb.

bukankah yang anda tulis panjang lebar di atas adalah point dari bung
syiwa? latency akses fisik memory prosesor intel lebih besar ketimbang
latency AMD.

2. Mailserver ada di ISP atau ada di kantor ?

Lebih jelasnya Virus Spam atau Spam ?
Untuk memblock Spam akan lebih efektif jika di blocknya sebelum Mailserver / Di 
Mailserver tidak di Client.

Mau tanya dong, aku pake laptop Toshiba portege M500 diinstal 2 OS Ubuntu dan Xp
kenapa sewaktu pake ubuntu baterinya lebih gampang drop (sekitar 2 jam) padahal 
kalo pake windows bis sekitar 4 jam..?
padahal aku udah pake KDE power manajemen di ubuntu, terima kasih buat 
inputnya...

[ITCENTER] Mohon Bantuan Pengetahuan

Mohon bantuan kawan-kawan semua. Saya punya masalah dengan Jaringan.
Bagaimana installasi Sebuah Jaringan untuk Laboratorium Komputer di sebuah
kampus. Peralatan yang saya punya antara lain :
a. 20 unit PC
b. Operating System Windows XP SP2
c. 1 unit PC mungkin untuk Server
d. 2 buah Hub 16 dan 6 Port
e. 2 Buah Modem JKnetworks bawaan Speedy

installasi yang sudah ada adalah 1 unit pc yang sudah ada tidak berfungsi
sebagai server.
Mohon bantuan kawan-kawan, bagaimana seharusnya installasi yang baik dengan
spesifikasi peralatan yang saya sebutkan diatas.

dr cctv dan terhubung dgn PC untuk menarik data yg akan di burning,dan yg
menjadi masalah hasil dari rekamannya itu tidak maksimal&patah2 gambarnya,
apakah mas Thio bisa kasih masukan apa yg harus saya lakukan untuk

mo  tanya  nih,  klo gua buat dual booting winxp dan linux, pertama2 install xp,
trus ke duanya linux.

nah  yg  ngatur  menu  boot khan lilo-nya linux. Bisa kaga' buat bootCD dgn lilo
tsb???  so  klo  gua booting dari CD baru keluar option pilihan dari lilo tsb mo
masuk  linux ato windows. sedangkan klo boot langsung ke HDD, default-nya adalah
linux tanpa pilihan lainnya??

ada yg bisa beritahu caranya??

using Oracle Client 9i?

Nah, berarti yang saya itu, mungkin termasuk yang aspal.  Tapi baru memusingkan 
setelah 3 tahunan.
Power supplynya sendiri sih belum saya periksa.  Biasanya sh hanya karena 
beberapa kapasitornya yang sudah bocor.

[ITCENTER] PC & PABX Jebol (Was : Grounding)

Dear all,

Seorang teman pernah mencoba menghubungkan PC dengan PABX menggunakan kabel
USB. Tujuannya untuk memanage PABX ini via PC. Memang di PABX ada USB output
nya. Berhubung kabelnya kurang panjang, jadi dicari kabel extention
(perpanjangan) USB yang beli di hypermarket.

Begitu disambung, PC dan PABXnya langsung jebol. PC nya rusak Power Supply
nya, dan PABX nya juga rusak di powernya. 

Kira kira kenapa yah? Apakah kabel USB atau extentionnya nya bermasalah
(konslet) ?

Sekarang kalau sudah diperbaiki dan PC-PABX tetap mau dihubungkan, apakah
kejadian serupa bisa dicegah dengan memasang grounding?

1. Kuat secara fisik tidak ada gunanya untuk kabel grounding, kabel

klo di localhost komputer emang mesti setting smtp sendiri..
tp klo sudah di hosting, function mail php sudah pasti jalan klo

Cara ini IMO tidak efektif Pak, kecuali tembok rumah Anda basah atau mungkin
berbahan cair (mungkin seperti igloo-nya Eskimo hewhewhew - joke loh yang
ini sih). 

Kalo saya sih serem tembok rumahnya basah hehehe... bisa lumutan lama2... :)

Hi,
Cara terbaik untuk membuat grounding adalah dengan menancapkan konduktor
(batang/kabel solid) atau kabel dengan kepala tembaga (plane/persegi atau
paku) ke dalam bumi.

Kabel yang digunakan adalah kabel solid, bukan serabut.

Cara yang paling bagus adalah dengan ikut mencemplungkan kabel ini ke dalam
bumi saat Anda membuat sumur pompa. Kedalaman grounding yang bagus ini
sangat beragam. Di beberapa daerah kadang 5-10 meter sudah cukup. Di
beberapa lokasi kadang butuh sampe lebih dari 20-30 meter. Harus diukur dulu
untuk pastinya.

Grounding yang benar2 bagus juga harus diukur dulu untuk dipastikan.
Bagusnya cek ke ahli listrik yang biasa memang megang grounding. Apalagi
yang main audio, grounding benar2 harus bagus karena efeknya sangat
signifikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas suara.

Ini merupakan teknik grounding yang benar dan direkomendasikan. Saya juga
sering denger ada yang pake teknik tancep ke tembok atau ke pipa air. Saya
tidak merekomendasikan cara ini karena kadang pipa air yang digunakan tidak
menggunakan bahan logam sehingga relative tidak bermanfaat. Teknik tancap ke
tembok juga tidak bermanfaat menurut saya hehehe...

Kalau ADSL Modem tidak bisa tapi kalau ADSL Router bisa karena ada fasilitas 
router dan switchnya.
Switch tidak bisa buat membagi koneksi Internet yang dari Firstmedia.
Yang bisa untuk membagi namanya Router dengan 4 port / 8 port switch.

Coba diteliti dulu ADSL Modemnya sebelum membeli router mungkin itu ADSL Router.

Coba trace secara bertahap.
Ping ke ip lan router, trus ip wan router, trus ip modem, trus dnsnya isp.
dari situ keliatan nyangkutnya dimana. Kalau disalah satu nyangkut betulis
disitu, jangan lanjut dulu.

Kalau ke IP LAN gak bisa mungkin kabelnya, kalau ke IP WAN gak bisa mungkin
setup routernnya. Kalau ke IP Modem gak bisa mungkin koneksi router ke modem
gak benar, cek kabelnya. Kalau ke IP DNS isp gak bisa mingkin koneksi dari
modem ke ISP putus, seharsunay bisa ya karena tanpa router bisa.

Sama donk dgn di kntr saya, kerjaan user di komp client sama
sekali tdk berat. Hanya proses data harian menggunakan
program yg dibuat dgn FoxPro. Jadi menurut saya dgn
kebutuhan Power Supply dgn harga kelas menengah, sekitar
150 ribu s/d 250 ribu rupiah sudah mencukupi. Kecuali dipakai
utk rendering dan bikin animasi. Load CPU bisa berat dan
membebani PSU. Pak Henkie saja pake PSU murah meriah
merk Mentari saja tdk pernah mengalami masalah.

Coba update antivirusnya, dan pakai aplikasi fixedHidden untuk mengembalikan
folder2 yang terjangkit virus. Dan coba nonaktifkan firewall pada komputer
tersebut agar dapat berinteraksi dengan komputer lain, atau belum ada folder
yang di-share..

Di computer ku terjangkit virus yang belum ketahuan nama dan cara
mengatasinya.

Gejalanya sebagai berikut:

1.   Seluruh folder dibikin hidden oleh virus tersebut.

2.   Menyerang hampir seluruh drive termasuk USB flashdisk.

3.   Folder yang dihidden, dibuatkan folder palsu dengan nama yang sama
dan icon folder, namun ada ukuran size-nya sebesar 60 kb atau 40 kb

4.   Pernah di-scan dengan AVG-free, terdeteksi sebagai virus Sality.
Namun AVG-free tidak bisa membersihkan virus tersebut.

 

Problem kedua, computer ku bisa di-ping dari computer lain (bolak-balik),
namun tidak bisa sharing folder/file. Selalu muncul error message "could not
found path ...), padahal bisa di-ping. Aneh...

 

Oleh karena itu, aku mohon pencerahan dari para senior yang lebih
berpengalaman daripada aku ini.

Ehmm.jadi tambah bingung nih.

Saya pake mikrotik dengan konfigurasi hanya routing paket yg lewat sekitar
80-90mbps bisa makan cpu load 60-70% dengan spek PC P4 1,8Ghz memori 512mb
dan LAN card realtek chipset. Lage bingung caranya nurunin cpu load. Apa
karena lan card yg saya pake bukan intel ?

konfigurasi 1 CPU P4 2.4 GHz, 2 GB memory dan network cardnya memakai 
Intel Pro/1000 MT dual port server adapter (PCI-X). CPU load rata2 
linux-router tsb adalah 10%; dan user puas karena tidak mengalami 
disconnect. Setelah diganti dengan linux-based, concurrent user bahkan 
bisa lebih tinggi lagi, yaitu menjadi 20K an, dengan load CPU 15-20%.

Saya pikir untuk menilai router banyaknya packet yang lewat tidak bisa 
jadi patokan karena ada hal lain yg perlu dipertimbangkan, yaitu 
trafficnya ke mana saja? 10,000 packet/sec dg routing ke 2 titik akan 
menghasilkan CPU load yang berbeda dengan 10,000 packet/sec dari 100 titik.
Saya tidak yakin akan kebenaran kata2 Saudara Siwa, "Ujung - ujungnya 
packet yang lewat tidak bisa sebanyak Cisco".

Ini hanya sharing, silakan menilai sendiri.

Saya ada router mikrotik dengan average bandwidth rata2 80-100mbps dengan
lan card realtek, PC P4 1,8 Ghz.

Dengan handle besar paket segitu cpu load di atas 60-70%. Konfigurasi
mikrotik hanya routing configuration.

Bgmn dengan cisco router mungkin ada yg bisa share.. Soalnya lage bingung mo
nurunin cpu load.

terus terang saya baru tau juga kalau Mikrotik gak worth it untuk NAP atau
ISP skala besar.
Memang sudah pernah coba ya ?
atau memang anda sendiri sekarang handle network skala besar ?
ISP nya Jetcoms kah ?

Share donk informasinya, kalau sudah pernah pake mikrotik, seri berapa yang
memang kewalahan dengan packet forwadingnya.
Yang saya tau sih emang versi 2.9.27 yang kemungkinan besar kewalahan ..
ya maklum, namanya juga versi gretongan kali ya .. :))

Tapi tertarik banget untuk testing kasus ini ..
mungkin saya skalanya masih kecil banget, belum ada hitungan 4Mbps untuk
traffic yang lewat di router, tapi tiap harinya sih average antara 2.2
- 2.5Mbps rate yang lewat di router untuk Incoming dan
1.3-1.7Mbps untuk Upstream.

Kira - kira kalau traffic sebesar itu apa cukup untuk ditesting dan
dipindahkan ke Mikrotik ?
Kalau memang kurang, saya akan coba lemparkan ke forum khusus mikrotiknya,
siapa tau ada yang bandwidthnya sudah lewat 10Mbps lebih disisi mereka.

Intinya saya sih penasaran, apa iya Mikrotik sebegitu parah performancenya.
Toh base nya kan Linux, seharusnya sih bisa menyamai atau gak beda jauh jauh
amat.

Berdasarkan pengalaman saya dalam mengolah survey dan input data melalui
media kertas, hal tersebut kini bisa dilakukan dengan lebih mudah dan murah
karena form-nya cukup menggunakan kertas biasa 80gsm.

Tak peduli apakah capture model-nya berbasis tick/checklist, maupun
handwriting, form-nya di-scan dengan scanner dokumen (ADF, high speed) untuk
menjadi gambar. Gambar tersebut diinterpretasi oleh perangkat lunak,
diverifikasi visual oleh operator, lalu dibuat reportnya.

masalahnya dalam hal apa ya?
kalo instalasinya lancar2 aja, gak ada masalah,
settingannya juga trial and error aja, awal2 ada
masalah, tapi lama2 jadi tau.

tapi setelah running, sampe sekarang mah gak
ada masalah. tujuan utamanya sudah 90% tercapai.

Kalo dulu saya pake Tiramisu untuk data recovery nya dgn kondisi HDD msh bisa 
ke detect. Tp saya menggunakan tiramisu yg versi lama yg hanya dapat meng cover 
maksimal kapasitas HDD 10 GB. Coba search and download aja Tiramisu Data 
Recovery untuk versi yg terbaru mas.

Prinsipnya kita update Data Driver hardware terbaru yg kita punya ke
dalam Windows XP.
 
krn Windows XP sp2 terakhir release beberapa tahun yg lalu, dan driver
hardware yg muncul setelahnya tidak termasuk d dlm XP.
Beda dgn Linux yg hampir tiap beberapa bulan d release.

Merge Windows XP + Driver Terbaru (pake driver integration )-> di burn
Ulang ke CD
Usahakan cari driver versi .ZIP 
biasanya Driver2 ada file xx.cat xxx.inf xxx.sys. File2 tersebut yg di
intregasikan ke XP.

Saya coba prinsip metoda di atas buat install Workstation dgn XP dgn
SCSI card. biasanya Scsi card d install lewat Floppy disk pd awal
install dgn option F6. dgn proses di atas tidak perlu floopy + F6.

Mohon maaf kalo penjelasan saya kurang jelas.

Halo Rekan2 IT,

Saya minta tolong, kira2 software apa untuk ftp.
Ambil data dari linux ke window, yang mana data tersebut
mencakup semuanya, baik yang di hidden atau pun yang terproteksi.

Seperti di dalam Linux kan ada command seperti rsync atau dd.
tapi saya ingin ambil data seperti perintah diatas dari window.

Sebenarnya contoh-contoh aplikasi dengan menggunakan minimal 10 tabel ada 
banyak sekali.
Misalnya aplikasi:
1.stok gudang dan penjualan dengan metode FIFO
2.editor dan eksekutor rule-2 aplikasi sistem pakar
3.manajemen homestay
4.manajemen manufaktur u/cetak label produksi, PO, surat jalan, nota sampai 
faktur pajak.
dll.
Namun alangkah lebih baik bila anda tentukan dulu jenis aplikasinya.
Jumlah kebutuhan tabel akan mengikutinya.
Mau dibikin banyak atau sedikit, itu urusan kedua.
Dari aplikasi yang paling sederhanapun bisa dihasilkan minimal 10 tabel, 
asal kita bisa mengembangkannya.

Kalo IP Address disembunyikan, lalu gimana cara TCP/IP melakukan
koneksi? Yg bisa itu cuman spoof IP Address pakai punya orang lain,
atau  melakukan proxy connection, dimana si proxy yang seolah menjadi
originator

trus sewaktu mau burn software ke cd tinggal add aja atau di bikin image 
dulu supaya lebih gampang jadi gak usa di copy kan semuanya ke hardisk...

Apakah SQL Server 2000 tsb sudah diinstall Service
Pack 4 terakhir ataukah masih polos ? Klo sudah
diinstall SP 4 kayanya sich bisa koq diinstall dgn mulus
di Win Server 2003. Saya pernah test install SQL Server
2000 di Win Server 2003 Enterprise Edition bisa jalan
koq. Asal sudah diinstall SP4.

[ITCENTER] SQL Server 2k pada Win Server 2003

[SuDeSoft]

Ada yang punya pengalaman setting SQL Server 2k dengan server Windows Server
2003 dan Client Win XP??
Sebelumnya saya pakai server Windows Server 2000 dengan Client Windows XP
tidak ada masalah.
Tapi begitu Server diganti dengan Win Server 2003, ODBC tidak bisa connect
baik dengan TCP/IP ataupun Named Pipe...

Plis help...
