Partition manager di Vista mirip dengan partition magic. Jadi ketika
partisinya kemudian digunakan untuk WinXP tidak ada masalah.
Anyway pertanyaan Anda seolah dual-boot Vista dan XP.

Ini cable managemen yg di belakang yah ?

klo sayah sih kemaren terpaksa mencabutnya (gak di pasang)
soalnya ribet juga musti custom lagi rack nya
AFAIK, rak server ukuran 600 X 875mm gak ada yang  "kedalamannya" 40 inc
rata2 32 - 36 Inc
Idealnya IBM xSeries seperti itu harus di simpen di rack yang deep-nya 40 inc
masalahnya yg 40 inc rata2 tingginya 40 U

belom sempet hunting lagi apakah ada seri /merk laen yang cuman 24U tapi 
deepnya 40 inc :)

boleh minta tolong..

PC saya di rumah kemaren tiba tiba restart ketika mau masuk windows.
jadi sama sekali gk bisa masuk windows.
logo windows selagi loading muncul. nah setelah loading itu selesai tiba
tiba langsung restart..
akhirnya ya udah.. saya install ulang.. dugaan saya mungkin itu karena
virus..
tapi sewaktu saya install ulang Windows XP Home Edition, muncul Error :
*' Installation Failed : \I386\asms. Error Message: Incorrect function'
Fatal Error:
One of he components that Windows needs to continue setup could not be
installed.
Incorrect function.
*message itu muncul sewaktu mau masuk bagian installation component setelah
loading windows.. jadi proses instalasi belum selesai. masih dalam proses
terus muncul error itu.. :((
saya coba unplug and plug memori, terus unplug and plug VGA card. terus
ganti CD Installation dengan Windows XP Professional.
tapi tetep muncul nya error yang itu..
teman ada yang bisa bantu kasih solusi ??...

Berikut Guideline untuk Ronde 1 Embedded Development Imagine Cup :

Round 1 Report Guidelines:
The first report is your project proposal.  It defines the problem you intend 
to address and how you intend to address it.  Your goal is to present the 
judges with a compelling idea that is presented clearly and succinctly.  
The report should be in the Microsoft Word format, contain no more than 2500 
words and be a maximum of four pages in length.  Reports that are substantially 
longer will not be read.  Reports must be submitted in English.  The team 
should try and avoid grammatical errors for the sake of clarity. 
Please include the following:
The title of the project 
A description of the problem you intend to address 
How your solution will address this problem 
A scenario of a typical end user and how they would use/interact with your 
project 
A summary of how you project relates to the theme of the Imagine Cup: “Imagine 
a world where technology enables a sustainable environment.” 
A summary of why an embedded solution is required for your project.  For 
example, why would a laptop or desktop computer not be able to perform the role 
of your embedded device? 
A diagram of the components in your solution and how they interact.  Please be 
clear in identifying the embedded device. 
A summary how your team is organized and the way in which the work will be 
distributed 
A description of the current status of the project: is it just an idea, is 
there a prototype, or are you actively working on a specific section? 
An outline of the work to be carried out in the next part of the project 
A summary of why you believe your team, and your project, should be selected to 
move to Round 2.

Itu berarti HDD kamu dipasangin password, setahu saya
belum ada system atau program yang melakukan password
otomatis terhadap HDD, pasti dilakukan secara MANUAL. 
Saya rasa seseorang tanpa pengetahuan kamu telah
memasang atau mengaktifkan password HDD di laptop
kamu.

Coba tanya orang terdekat disekitar kamu..  
HDD password kayaknya belum ada yang bisa recovery

Maap sekali, agak kecolongan, padahal emailnya sudah di banned,
tetapi ada email yg lolos dari sekian banyak yg di kirimkan :(

Betul sekali, memang seharusnya lowongan yg berbau IT dan *memang khusus di 
indonesia*
sebab ada beberapa email dari luar yg menawarkan lowongan IT seperti itu, 
tetapi di sisipkan iklan2 yang aneh2 :)
dan saya curiga mirip2 maxgain juga

partisinya buat instalasi Windows XP, apakah dengan demikian, notebook bisa 
berjalan dengan operasi Windows Vista atau Windows XP ?

Saya install driver sound HDA di MB Foxconn selalu muncul pesan " Install
driver High Definition Audio driver failure".
Sudah saya ganti CD-nya dan MB-nya juga.
 
Mungkin ada teman yg tahu caranya step by step untuk install driver sound
HDA?

Kalau masalah bapak adalah hang dan tidak perlu tambah bandwidth,
mungkin bisa dicari permasalahan hangnya dulu. Mungkin ada collission
di jaringannya. Bisa di coba ganti dengan switch yang tidak
"menyebarkan collision", nanti bisa ketauan sumber collission dari
mana.

[ITCENTER] IBM Thinkpad T42 tidak mau menyala setelah Sleeping Mode selama 24 jam

Dear Rekan-rekan IT Center,

IBM Thinkpad T42 saya tidak mau menyala setelah saya taruh dalam 
Sleeping Mode selama kurang lebih 24 jam.

Sudah saya coba lepas dan pasang ulang baterainya, kemudian saya 
charge baterainya, masih juga tidak mau menyala. Jadi tombol on-off - 
nya itu seolah-olah tidak berfungsi sama sekali.

Saya mohon saran dari rekan-rekan apakah yang harus saya lakukan.

Memang efek virus. Kalo tidak salah namanya kspool.

Saya juga menemukan beberapa klien saya yang terkena virus ini dan file-file
*.dbf yang rusak. Ada beberapa yang rutin menjalankan backup namun ada
beberapa yang tidak rutin melakukan backup. 

Kalo ada rekan-rekan yang punya solusi mohon dishare di sini.

Yakin itu virus? Sudah berapa lama anda pakai DBF? Error "Not a valid 
database" itu sudah ada sejak jaman dBase, FoxBase, FoxPro dan xBase 
lainnya, 20 tahun lalu. Penyakitnya cuma satu, database corrupt. 
Solusinya ada dua, restore dari backup atau buka file DBF pakai HEX 
editor dan ganti beberapa byte.

Jadi bukan virusnya yang aneh, tapi anda yang aneh, data penting kok 
ngga pernah dibackup.

coba scan dulu dangan AVG ato PCMEDIA.

Kagem syiwabhairawa,

Blue  screen  itu banyak sebabnya ! seperti file system error, hardisk
problem, RAM rusak, prosesor kepanasan juga bisa ... tetapi kalo cumin
bilang  blue  screen  tanpa  kejelasan apa tulisannya ya susah dirunut
masalahnya,  suruh  minta lengkapi dulu pertanyaannya, biar para dukun
di sini bisa memberikan solusi .. cmiiw

Setahu saya pak,
D-Link DI624 tidak support WDS, sehingga
untuk D-Link DWL2100AP hanya bisa mode Client,

Sedangkan masalah tidak bisa ke Internet,
mungkin fungsi filtering untuk koneksi ke internet
di DI-624 diaktifkan, karena pengalaman saya
jika aktif maka, untuk di ping IP nya saja tidak bisa.

Biasanya yg saya lakukan terutama notebook adalah 



1. test dengan memory lain, klo memory lain bisa,

bersihkan memory anda dengan hapusan pensil pada

bagian yang bergaris2 silver, bila gak bisa juga

terpaksa beli baru.Biasanya untuk memory cocok2kan

tidak semua merek bisa digunakan, tp umumnya untuk

merk vgen selalu bisa digunakan(sy bukan sales vgen

loh :-) ). 



2. KLo tenyata setelah di test dengan meory lain tetap

blue screen, coba test dengan mengganti HD lain.Atau

coba copot HD laptop anda, dan pasang ke PC desktop

lalu di check mungkin ada pasrtisi yg tdk ke deteck.

Mohon bantuannya dunk, ceritanya begini, Flash disk aku kena virus
terus aku scan pakai Free AVG,dan virus nya hilang (merubah folder
jadi "exe"), pas aku cek kapasitasnya FD ku tertulis 900 mb, tapi pas
dibuka isinya cuma 122 mb aja, sepertinya ada folder yang ke hide.
pertanyaannya bagai mana caranya memunculkan folder yang ke hide
tersebut.. mohon pencerahannya.. trims..

Kalau sekedar buat nyimpan file, foldernya di zip lalu kasih password.
Makenya tinggal double click lalu isi password, kebuka deh, trus pake
seperti biasa tanpa di unzip dulu :)

Mohon bantuannya dunk, ceritanya begini, Flash disk aku kena virus
terus aku scan pakai Free AVG,dan virus nya hilang (merubah folder
jadi "exe"), pas aku cek kapasitasnya FD ku tertulis 900 mb, tapi pas
dibuka isinya cuma 122 mb aja, sepertinya ada folder yang ke hide.
pertanyaannya bagai mana caranya memunculkan folder yang ke hide
tersebut.. mohon pencerahannya.. trims..

Kalau pengalaman saya,
memang hardware harus support WDS,
mengenai merk, bisa sama bisa juga tidak
(yang penting support WDS)

Linksys WRT54G (firmware ori) harus
sesama linksys baru bisa WDS

Tetapi jika sudah di upgrade ke DD-WRT
bisa WDS dengan merk lain mis: SMC WBR14G-T
atau D-Link 2100AP

D-Link DI624 tidak support WDS?

Linksys (upgrade ke DD-WRT) jika dibuat WDS, yang perlu
diperhatikan hanya channel saja, untuk SSID boleh berbeda.

Yang sudah saya terapkan :

a.   Internet  <> Linksys 1 <---WDS---> Linksys 2
  catatan :
  Linksys 1 (ch6, SSID A, mode Gateway, DHCP server)
  Linksys 2 (ch6, SSID B, mode Router, DHCP Forwarder)
  semua WRT54G yg diupgrade ke DD-WRT, dan semua client
  bisa roaming di kedua hotspot tsb tanpa masalah?
  yang penting kedua SSID sudah terdaftar di PC/Laptop client.

b.  Internet <> Linksys <---WDS---> D-Link 2100AP
 Catatan :
 Linksys WRT54G diupgrade ke DD-WRT dengan ch6, SSID A
 mode Gateway dan DHCP Server
 D-Link 2100AP, ch6 SSID A, mode AP-WDS
 semua client bisa roaming di kedua lokasi

c.  Internet <> Router <> SMC <---WDS---> Linksys
 catatan :
 SMC WBR14G-T (ch6, SSID A, mode AP)
 Linksys WRT54G yg diupgrade ke DD-WRT (ch6, SSID B, mode AP)
 semua client bisa roaming di kedua lokasi.

Sudah saya coba dengan perangkat Notebook, HP Wifi, PDA.

Yang agak rumit sedikit adalah merk Minitar, yang walaupun support WDS
namun cukup sulit bekomunikasi dengan merk lain selain merk Minitar.

Jadi WDS bisa dikatakan memperjauh signal wireless dengan media wireless
sedangkan roaming adalah kemampuan client untuk bergerak dari satu hotspot
ke hotspot yang lain tanpa kehilangan konektivitas dalam jaringan local 
maupun
konektivitas ke internet dengan tanpa merubah settingan disisi perangkat 
client.

Sy sudah coba cara d bawah ini, tp ketika meng-unprotecnya  dengan cara
menghilangkan tanda .{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}tidak bisa krn
ketika di di-Rename barisan yang tadi kita tambahkan sudah tidak ada lagi.

1. Pilih folder yang ingin di unprotect
Kemudian hilangkan baris .{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
2. Maka folder kita akan kembali secara sedia kala.

was created by Broadcom Corporation.

kebetulan saat ini sy pakai tablet PC merek HP pavilion seri tx 1000.
sy sdh coba DL driver dr HP tapi tdk menyelesaikan mslh.
mohon bantuannya bila ada yg memiliki solusinya.

Kalau untuk menampilkan folder yang ke hide
dari windows explorer pilih Tools -> Folder Options -> View
cari pilihan show hidden files and folders.
Tetapi kalau hidennya itu karena virus biasanya tidak bisa nampak kalau 
kita menggunakan Windows XP, baru bisa nampak kalau di buka menggunakan 
Windows 98.

Selamat tahun baru IT netter sma.

 

Saya ada beberapa pertanyaan yg berhubungan dgn masalah di kantor saya
yaitu.

1.  bagaimana caranya melacak pengguna ip share yg saya pasang di salah
satu compi saya?
2.  adakah  cara yg lebih baik dan full protections untuk akses computer
client di kantor saya ?

maksud pert?an no 2 dengan kronologis sbb:

di kantor saya sudah saya terapkan system proteksi user dengan limited
akses( berpassword )  tapi oleh si user tersebut user administrator tersebut
di hack

so dia bias install ini itu yg tidak ada hub dgn pekerjaan.. info OS
Microsoft windows XP

Kalau yang anda maksud blue screen dengan banyak tulisan muncul di layar itu 
berarti ada maslaah dengan hardware anda, bisa harddisk atau VGA anda.

Pengalaman saya terakhir dengan harddisk laptop menunjukkan gejala yg mirip 
dg yg anda tulis.
Sebaiknya anda hubungi rekan-2 yg ahli baca harddisk u/selamatkan data anda 
dahulu.

Ini cable managemen yg di belakang yah ?

klo sayah sih kemaren terpaksa mencabutnya (gak di pasang)
soalnya ribet juga musti custom lagi rack nya
AFAIK, rak server ukuran 600 X 875mm gak ada yang  "kedalamannya" 40 inc
rata2 32 - 36 Inc
Idealnya IBM xSeries seperti itu harus di simpen di rack yang deep-nya 40 inc
masalahnya yg 40 inc rata2 tingginya 40 U

belom sempet hunting lagi apakah ada seri /merk laen yang cuman 24U tapi 
deepnya 40 inc :)
