Dear group members, Salam kenal, saya sudah cukup lama gabung di milis ini tapi saya hanya member pasif, karena saya bukan dari dunia IT tapi dari bidang HR ... lebih tepatnya consultant HR. Mungkin beberapa dari rekan2 ITers ada yang pernah membaca bahkan apply dari job vacancy saya di milis ini. Anyway, saya hanya ingin memberi sedikit gambaran dari pengalaman saya berkecimpung di dunia HR consultan sejak 2003, menilik dari subject diatas mudah2an bisa membantu atau paling tidak memberi gambaran tentang "pasaran" keahlian IT. Untuk Fresh Graduate, lulusan S1 sesuai kep. gubernur terbaru untuk UMP DKI adalah IDR 819,000 net/ month or IDR 884,000 gross/month. Kecuali anda bekerja di kawasan industri "sekitar" Jakarta, di Jakarta fresh grad S1 IT biasanya sih dihargai IDR 1 - 2,5 juta net/ month apapun keahlian (skill) anda apapun jenis industri yg anda masuki. Itupun bukan patokan yg mutlak. Ada beberapa project/klien yg pernah saya handle, seperti awal tahun ini saya ada kllien yg berani memberi gaji s/d IDR 4 juta net/month untuk Fresh grad untuk posisi programmer , asalkan punya skill yg mereka butuhkan. Waktu itu klien saya require candidate dengan skill yg bagus untuk program VB, .NET, etc. Nah, pada saat interview dng saya ini (belum di klien) dari ratusan CV yg masuk yg lolos interview saya hanya sedikit, dan biasanya mereka gagal hanya karena pertanyaan yg sifatnya umum (kecil) seperti apa itu "tower of Hanoi" atau apa itu "recrusive" yg mana setahu saya (sekali lagi, yg bukan orang IT) pasti di peroleh di mata kuliah kampus. Juga biasanya "tembok" yg sulit dijebol adalah ketika saya ajak untuk berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris. This is also an important thing, since most company who will give you a high rate benefit package are Multinational companies. Jika dilihat dari pengalaman saya tadi, bukannya klien saya tidak mau memberikan lebih untuk si candidate, tapi dari candidatenya sendiri yg memang belum siap untuk kerja dilapangan. Sedangkan untuk yg pengalaman, jgn kuatir, banyak sekali kok peluang2 untuk mendapatkan better income baik di Jakarta ataupun diluar Jakarta. Untuk gaji diatas IDR 10 juta ? memang tidak banyak tapi saya pastikan ada. Dan siapa bilang bahwa gaji yg tinggi hanya berpeluang ada di ibukota. Awal tahun ini saya mengerjakan project untuk klien saya sebuah perusahaan berlian di Bali (saya pernah rilis di milis ini) yg mencari candidate IT untuk mengisi beberapa posisi Senior Staff (bukan Manager) dengan gaji up to IDR 15 juta net/ month + bonuses & allowances + car + housing !! Atau kalau yg anda cari bukan sekedar gaji yg tinggi, tahun 2005 saya pernah handle satu company IT dr US yg buka rep office di sini. Saya provide mereka dengan 6 kandidat, 5 diantaranya orang IT (3 programmer, 1 customer / technical support, 1 trainer). Semuanya pengalaman antara 2 - 5 tahun, dan dihargai IDR 8 - 9 juta nett/ month ++ (+/- IDR 10 - 11 juta gross/ month) tapi mereka juga mendapatkan development program atau training selalu di LN (Washington - US, Swedia, atau Taiwan) dalam setahun bisa 4 - 6 kali . semua biaya ditanggung, masih ditambah uang saku lagilagi !! Imagine that . gak cuma dapet gaji yg lumayan . dapet ilmu lagi !! So ... buat temen2 member ITCENTER yg masih fresh graduate or masih kuliah jangan patah semangat yaa !!!
