Saya sedang mencoba mengaktifkan Wake On LAN feature di komputer rakitan saya :

1. mobo ECS NForce6M-A2 dengan Athlon II processor dan running Ubuntu Server 
11.04
2. mobo Gigabyte GA-M52KT-D3 dengan Athlon II processor dan running VMWare ESX 
4.1
3. mobo Palit AA-780G dengan Athlon II processor dan running NexentaStore 
(derivative NexentaOS-OpenSolaris x86)
4. mobo MSI K9NGM3 dengan Athlon II processor dan running VMWare ESXi 4.0

Saya mencoba menghidupkan komputer dengan mengirimkan Magic Packet (tm) secara 
broadcast 255.255.255.255 ke port UDP 9, bersesuaian dengan MAC Address dari on 
board Ethernet yang menghadap ke LAN tersebut.

Saya coba dari komputer dalam kondisi OFF, maupun SUSPEND STR1, tetap tidak 
bisa menyala untuk ke-empat motherboard tersebut.

Saya sudah riset di berbagai website, katanya sih syarat untuk WOL :
1. di BIOS, mematikan feature EUP, done.
2. di BIOS, menghidupkan feature PME dengan aktif by Onboard LAN/PCI/PCI-E LAN, 
done
3. check di OS, apakah diaktifkan pakai feature Magic Packet. Pakai "ethtool" 
saya sudah lihat "Wake On :g", "g" artinya ready with Magic Packet. Done
4. dapatkan MAC Address dari onboad Ethernet. done
5. koneksikan onboard Ethernet ke LAN, done
6. kirimkan Magic Packet secara broadcast ke LAN dari komputer lain, memakai 
seed dari MAC Address dari onboard Ethernet di komputer target, done. Ndak ada 
hasilnya
7. dicoba dari kondisi komputer target POWER OFF, atau SUSPEND atau HIBERNATE, 
ya sama saja, tidak ada hasil

Kalau saya baca baca sih rata rata contoh di website pada memakai processor 
Intel, tapi apa iya ini ada pengaruhnya? Soalnya buku dari mobo ECS, Palit, 
MSI, Gigabyte, semua bilang kalau mobo untuk AMD ini pun kudunya bisa pakai WOL 
feature.

Ada yang berpengalaman dalam WOL ini?

"my computer".

ini, pertama siapkan cd hiren boot untuk scan dari hiren atau safe mode, ke dua 
cari virus sality type apa n download sality remover, setelah 

itu cek windows apakah masih stabil atau tidak, kl tidak repair windows 

dengan cara kalian masing2, kl saya pakai registry fixer, kemudian 

antivirus kita, kita cek masih stabil atau tidak kl tidak diinstal ulang dan 
kita upadate, Insya Allah berhasil dengan kesabaran dan kegigihan

komputer kantor terkena trojan.dropper makin lama makin meluas...
saya bingung ngilanginnya.

AV sudah di update, di kantor pakai symantec corporate dan smadav...
Tidak mempan... 

Autoprotect symantec muncul trojan terus.. munculnya sebagai berikut :

 - Trojan.dropper
 - Suspicous.Emit
 - mso.sys
 - windows.lnk
 - w32sality.AR

Kalau lagi buka progam seolah-olah resource sistem  di komputer berjalan sampai 
dengan 100 % sehingga jalan komputer lelet alias lambat alias nge-hang. tapi 
sistemnya masih berjalan.

Bagaimana solusinya...
Mohon pencerahannya.

Kalo antivirusnya masih di pc yg terinfeksi ga bakalan hilang, kalo ga ada data

Kira2 100MB ukuranya. Cara pakainya masuk safe mode kmudian install (baca

desktop yg mengalami masalah sbb: Pada saat saya nyalakan 
kompi desktop tiba-tiba ada pesan CPU fan error, Press F1 
to resume! Pernah baru mo dinyalakan belum sempat masuk 
pada tampilan informasi konfigurasi kompi langsung 
kompinya tiba-tiba mati! Motherboardnya P5S800 VM ASUS!

tapi tetep aja nggak bsa login, akhirnya kalo saya ambil keputusan dgn

[ITCENTER] symantec antivirus corporate edition ver 10

Rekan-rekan ada yang pernah menggunakan SAV corporate edition ver 10 nggak? Ada 
beberapa hal yg mo saya tanyakan/minta pendapatnya dari rekan sekalian. Dengan 
asumsi software tsb diinstall pada W2k server dgn jaringan LAN, WAN (frame 
relay), saya menggantinya dari versi sebelumnya yaitu versi 9 pada kantor 
cabang masih menggunakan versi 9 atau sebelumnya. Pertanyaannya sbb :
1. Setelah saya install symantec system center console kenapa pada server group 
statusnya menjadi disable, padahal nama server groupnya persis sama dgn 
sebelumnya ?
2. Pada versi sebelumnya yaitu v 9, pada console system center console tsb 
server-server yang berada pada cabang bisa terlihat sedangkan setelah saya 
ganti dgn v 10 tidak terlihat ?
3. Apakah yang membedakan server group dgn primary server kemudian ada istilah 
parent ?

stabil.
Dulu salah satu client yg masalah tsb langsung saya ganti dengan win 98

Tapi kurang stabil. Saya sekarang coba gmail tetapi untuk send
masalahnya sama tidak bisa send. Juga saat test di outlook 2 poit
terakhir tidak bisa / failed.

[ITCENTER] Kenapa UPS 1000 VA tidak bisa supply beban server 350 watt.

Kira-kira apa ya sebabnya ups 1000 VA tidak bisa mensupply server yg
cuma 350 watt. Padahal kalau ups tsb dipasang di 2 komputer dengan beban
700 VA mau.
