Kemarin ada yang minta bantuan saya, dia baru masuk kuliah di 
universitas terkenal (awalan "G" akhiran "A"..hehe..). Dia dapat tugas 
bikin program dari dosen, dan kesulitan tentang 1 hal. Setelah saya 
lihat masalahnya, mau tahu bahasa apa yang diajarkan dosen-nya itu? .

Bahasa yang digunakan adalah..BASIC  (tepatnya Microsoft 
QBASIC 4.5).

10 REM Tugas Dosen
20 CLS
30 PRINT "Ini tugas dosen"
40 LPRINT "Cetak ke printer"

Ini bukan mimpi loh...November 2012, menjelang 2013, masih ada 
universitas terkenal yang mengajarkan BASIC ! Betul-betul gila.

Saya bilang ke dia, kalau bisa, secepatnya keluar dan pindah ke 
universitas lain :)

Jawabnya relatif  gan he 3x, karena banyak antivirus yang bagus dengan 
kelebihanya masing-masing
Tapi kalau saya pribadi untuk Laptop & PC sampai saat ini saya pakai 
Kaspersky ( Internet Security license ) maaf bukan promosi
Karena hampir semua Antivirus sudah saya coba dana saya cocok memakai 
kaspersky, biasa saya beli yang 3 license jadinya lebih murah

di kantor saya menggunakan Kaspersky Open Space Security,
untuk menghandle 150 PC.
Kita bisa dg mudah me manage tiap group / user dalam jaringan.
untuk licence & update, user tinggal konek ke  server local kita

untuk sisi admin sangat dipermudah
tapi kalo admin krng jeli  atur setingannya  bisa bikin user bete...
dan jadi males pake antivirus.

Kalau menurut saya yang lumayan bagus untuk corporate adalah symantec
corporate edition. Pernah coba KAV untuk corporate tapi lumayan berat
dan memakan cpu process di user kasihan.

Menurut rekan2 antivirus apa yg nyaman untuk corporate?

Saya bukan bertanya ttg kemampuan antivirus menangani virus dan teman2nya, 
meskipun itu juga pertimbangan utama. Tp lebih ke arah kenyamanan dr sisi 
adminnya. Misalnya reportingnya, proteksi network, kemudahan setting di banyak 
pc sekaligus, dst

Saat ini saya menggunakan avast profesional, tp baru mau melirik ke AV lain 
kalau ternyata lebih memudahkan saya menangani jumlah mesin yg cukup banyak (di 
atas 150 user + beberapa server).

dikantor saya beberapa mesin tester menggunakan windows 98...
anti virus yang bagus untuk versi tersebut apa ya ??
dan gimana cara mendapatkannya serta updaternya !!!

Tanya Opertaor plus Teknisi Speedy datang memang tidak akan ngaruh kalau 
penyebabnya tidak diselesaikan.
Kalau sering purus-putus kemungkinan besar masalah di jaringan telp yang 
digunakan , mungkin saja jelek
Seperti diketahui untuk beberapa wilayah jaringal telp Telkom yang digunakan 
untuk Speedy msh menggunakan jaringan lama yang kadang jelek.
Coba saja di print hasil pingnya dan ditunjukan ke Speedy, minta untuk 
diselesaikan

Sebenarnya untuk masalah crash apa tidaknya ya tergantung dari antivir nya.
memang ada juga yang ke-detect dikedua2nya, ada yang saling melengkapi juga. 
tapi benar, bahwa tidak efektif, utamanya masalah speed memory nya. Jadi 
komputer akan sangat lambat sekali. 

Kalau dibuka task management nya, bisa lebih dari 50% aktif nya. Mungkin bisa 
manteng 100% juga.

Ada baeknya loe cek lebih jauh. Dimana sumber virus. Kalo jaman skrg
umumnya virus dr internet. Jadi ada baeknya smua paket dr internet di
scan sama antivirus. Itu artinya smua pake hrs di intercept di server,
baru stelah discan, paket akan dilempar ke client.
Dah betul ADSL ke server, dr server ke client. Jd tinggal nambah aja
software di server loe yg bs scan incoming/outgoing mail on the fly
(transparent).

Windows (solusi bayar nih):
-Salah satu contoh kerio (http://www.kerio.com) bs tuh. solusi byr nih.
-Atau bs jg cari software sharing internet laen yg dukung antivirus.

Linux (solusi gratis):
-Semua linux sama. Pake aja paket p3scan+clamav+spamassassin (scan
virus + scan spam)

Kalo dr internet dah aman, di client gak akan terlalu berat utk hal
ini. Asal jgn lupa slalu update. Coba pertimbangkan lebih jauh
antivirus utk corporate network.

Bls: [ITCENTER] antivirus

Klo saya sampai saat ini menggunakan Avast, utk RTP-nya juga ringan. Coba saja 
karena dengan antivirus tersebut saya pernah menemukan virus yang tidak 
ditemukan oleh AVG. Avast ini free koq tapi juga ada yang berbayar. Untuk yang 
free adalah yang Home Edition. Saat ini saya menggunakan yang Home Edition, 
aman2 saja kok.

Yang perlu diperhatikan dalam membasmi virus adalah:
1. Jika menggunakan Windows 2000, XP, Vista, jangan pernah menggunakan User 
Name Administrator tetapi gunakan nama yang lain karena User Name ini dapat 
kita gunakan sebagai cadangan untuk membasmi virus (selama virus belum menyebar 
terlalu luas).
2. Jika ingin membasmi virus, masuklah ke Safe Mode dan masuk ke User 
Administrator dan lakukan Full Scan, sebelumnya Monitoring System Restore harus 
dimatikan dulu. Yang paling penting di sini adalah masuk ke Safe Mode.

Mohon info antivirus/removal tool, untuk antivirus dengan ciri2:

-  Menjalankan new folder.exe dan startup.exe, 

-  Mengganti window title IE dengan " The Nita_Worm"

-  Mengganti label drive dengan nama "The Nita Worm"

 

Sudah dengan, AVG, Avast, terbaru tidak terdeteksi.

Menggunakan PCMAV RC22, terdeteksi tetapi tidak dikenal dan tidak bisa
repair.

Saya juga pernah sekali install Windows Vista di kompi gw, tp apa yang gw
dapat, semua program Multimedia gw (Pinacle, Ulead, CoolEdit, dll) gak ada
yg jalan. Crasss semua... KAPOK gw, gw format tuh kompi gw and gw install

Setau saya untuk symantec antivirus yang client server, akan otomatis
melakukan scanning komputer pada saat windows Start-up (Startup Scan). dan
hal itu bisa dihilangkan dengan mengganti nilai registry di komputer Client.

baik di server and di client, gua buka dari task manager sih ada process 

yang namanya rtvscan yang memakan memory paling tinggi, apakah process ini 

berasal dari symantecnya yah ?

Kepada semua yang telah kasi komentar, thanks ya (Pak Albert, Pak Setyo, Pak 
Fransanjaya dan Pak BakT), setidaknya dari pendapat anda semua, saya sudah 
ada sedikit informasi yang saya pegang mengenai antivirus tersebut. Untuk 
sementara sih saya mungkin masih menggunakan symantec antivirus coorporate 
edition dulu sambil mengikuti saran nya pak albert untuk scan file tertentu 
aja, prioritas sih di e-mail aja kayaknya, yang agak rentan terhadap virus. 
Juga kepada Pak Setyo dan Pak BakT terimakasih atas usulannya, karena 
menurut pak Setyo masih belum bisa ditanamkan di jaringan jadi saya juga mau 
pake buat dirumah aja buat gantiin symantec antivirus di komputer rumah

sekitar 5 sampe 7 mb.
Saya cuma make di rumah yg home edition, dengan koneksi gprs saja.
Yang jadi alasan utama ya karena koneksi lemot itu saja.

Avast seperitnya tidak/belum menyediakan AV client-server seperti symantec.
Sampai saat ini, versi client-server tsb pun masih limited dan tidak banyak
variasinya.

Avast yg dimaksud itu hanya untuk end-user (non win2k server/2003).

AV Symantec defaultnya akan scan semua file, ini yang bikin lambat. Coba
anda ubah agar hanya scan extensi tertentu (SmartScan), lumayan lebih cepat.
Gunakan juga untuk exclude ektensi/file/direktori tertentu yang anda yakin
tidak bakal kena virus.

rekomendasikan NOD32 Antivirus. Coba kunjungi site www.eset.com, coba trial 
versionnya.

Kalo paling top sih enggak. Cuma enteng butuh resouce kecil dan update
virus gampang dan yg penting free, avast home edition.
Kalo saya buat lengkapi pake pcmedia antivirus buat virus lokal dan free
juga, cuma perlu beli majalahnya yg bundle cd dengan s/w utility, tiap
bulan ada updatenya. Dan beli yg murah saja edisi ekonomis 15 ribu.

Dari hasil kerja AV Kaspersky selama ini menurut saya sangat memuaskan.baik 
untuk menangani virus-virus lokal atau dari luar.juga malware, PUP,spyware, 
trojan dan turunannya semua bisa dideteksi.

Kalo ada yg butuh kaspersky terbaru beserta aktifasinya silahkan japri aja ke 
saya.karena kalo di jelaskan disini akan bertentangan dengan aturan milis.

Norman bukanya sudah lama ada pak.
Saya malah sudah pakai hampir 3  tahun.

Tapi menurut saya tetap Kaspersky lebih bagus dari Norman.
Baik dari detec Virus juga Proteksinya lebih lengkap.

Yang sering saya alami pakai Norman hanya bisa di Detect dan harus hapus manual.
Norman selalu tembus dengan trojan pakai Kaspersky belum pernah.
Pakai Kaspersky otomatis langsung delete, tidak kerja 2x.

wah iya.. kaspersky pake sistem baru rupanya, dan ternyata yang pake SN
crack bisa kedetect dan akhirnya gak bisa update lagi.
tapi aku masih tenang krn antivirus yg juga keren sudah menanti, yaitu
norman.
harga lisensi asli norman cuman 100ribu rupiah untuk 1 tahun, sedangkan klo
kita bisa kasih ke vaksin.com virus yg belom kedetect ma norman, maka
vaksin.com memberikan 1 lisensi asli norman untuk 1 tahun.
so klo mau bayar ya 100ribu
tapi klo mau gratis ya cari virus yg blom kedetect ma norman, lalu kirimkan
ke [EMAIL PROTECTED], dan 1 lisensi gratis menjadi milik Anda.

dialog yang meminta " a new license key"... 

tulisan dalam kotak dialog itu seperti ini :

jadi, sampai sekarang kasperky itu nggak aktiv lagi, dan kotak dialog

Betul sekali pak Wirawan, itu dikarenakan tergantung dari masing-masing 
pengelola virus definition, apakah sudah mengetahui adanya virus baru 
tersebut dan segera menanggulanginya dengan mengupdate virus definitionnya. 
Kalau bisa, malahan secara otomatis mengirimkan penangkalnya, kepada anggota 
yang membayar.
Jadi kalau mau agak aman dari virus, tapi komputer tua berjalan lambat, yah 
tinggal instalasikan beberapa program anti virus dengan selalu meng updated 
nya.

IMHO, AVG punya kombinasi hal - hal positif yang bagus dan optimal.

Selama rajin update, kayaknya semua antivirus sama aja kemampuannya. Kecuali
NOD32 yang konon punya cara lebih jitu buat ngedeteksi virus. cmiiww

Yang sering bikin pusing tuh biasanya virus lokal. Sepele, tapi tricky.

Pastinya jangan lupa untuk timbang - timbang anti virus yang sesuai dengan
spesifikasi komputer kita, supaya komputer kita gak dipaksa merangkak.

Coba hard reset dulu PDA anda, kemudian jalankan dengan aplikasi bawaaan 
selama sebulan.
Kemudian beberapa kali ini frekuensinya berapa? Punya my significant 
other O2 Xda mini rata rata hang 2 kali sehari. Kalau Treo 650 saya kira 
kira 3 hari sekali. Normal normal saja.

Kasusnya sama seperti Nokia Communicator 9500 milik teman
saya. Softwarenya sudah di-upgrade 2 kali tetap saja lambat dlm
mengakses menu2. Ternyata Nokia 9500 itu merupakan produk
gagal dari Nokia. Saya juga gak tau jelas apakah software yg
dipakai yg bermasalah atau masalah ada di hardware Nokia
9500. Harga Nokia 9500 baru untuk saat ini cuma 5 juta
rupiah. Jatuh banget dibanding tahun lalu pas pertama kali
launching dgn harga 10 jutaan. Mungkin Mas Husen perlu
upgrade software O2 XDA Atom di support centernya.
Dicoba aja dulu Mas, siapa tahu setelah diupgrade softwarenya
masalahnya akan teratasi.

Kembali ke Nokia 9500, toko2 yg jual HP di ITC Roxy Mas
rata2 sudah tahu bahwa Nokia 9500 itu produk gagal dari
Nokia. Harga secondnya saja lumayan jatuh harganya.

Untuk Smartphone atau PDAphone, kalau sering hang, bisa disebabkan memang 
ada kerusakan di prosesornya, misalnya karena panas atau bisa juga 
disebabkan memorynya yang rusak.
Yang bisa kita tangani sendiri adalah yang disebabkan terlalu banyaknya 
aplikasi yang di jalankan, saat startup yang mengakibatkan RAM penuh.
Saya bukan pengguna O2 XDA atom, namun pengguna Smartphone, yang kalau saat 
startup terlalu banyak aplikasi yang dijalankan, pasti akan hang dan semua 
berjalan lambat.  Untuk menanganinya, saya menggunakan aplikasi antara lain 
SMan, yang bisa melihat, saat ini, aplikasi yang di load di RAM apa saja dan 
bisa kita buang dahulu, kalau memang tidak akan digunakan dalam waktu dekat. 
Dengan demikian, sangat jarang Smartphone saya bermasalah hang.

Mo nanya nich, kompi gue ndak bisa boot, saat hardisknya discan dengan 
opsi delete Antivirusnya, koq malah semua isi folder baek di system
