[JIRA] (JENKINS-7414) Git submodules support does not work with relative url path
Title: Message Title guillon commented on JENKINS-7414 Re: Git submodules support does not work with relative url path Git handles relative paths in an heuristic way as described in comment comment-206652 and comment-188362. Which works for common use cases, you may be in a context or remote names and/or HEAD reference different from these cases. Title: Message Title Florian Manschwetus commented on JENKINS-7414 Re: Git submodules support does not work with relative url path I have hit this behavior while building up a repo, outside of jenkins, so I think this is a problem with git itself. [JIRA] (JENKINS-7414) Git submodules support does not work with relative url path
Jon Nordby commented on JENKINS-7414 Git submodules support does not work with relative url path I still have this issue. Submodules are attempted fetched relative to the location of the checkout of the parent repository, not relative to the upstream url of the repository. Every thing works fine when cloning the toplevel on commandline using git, then doing git submodule init and git submodule update. I am using Jenkins 1.494 and version 1.1.26 of the git plugin. buckett commented on JENKINS-7414 Git submodules support does not work with relative url path I'm not sure this is an issue any more as we have relative path submodules working with 1.1.18 of the git plugin This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
