I'm anticipating a major release from the dependency-check core team in the next day or two. The fix will be included in that release.

Installed 1.2.11.2-SNAPSHOT (private-07/29/2015 20:56-jenkins) Displays none of the prior issues noted, awesome work! Does this go off to regressions now before release?

Pulled in another hpi.
Restarted jenkins
Verified version as: 1.2.11.2-SNAPSHOT (private-07/29/2015 18:42-jenkins)
Noticed Flood of old data errors in http:///administrativeMonitor/OldData/manage "MissingFieldException: No field 'useMavenArtifactsScanPath' found in class 'org.jenkinsci.plugins.DependencyCheck.DependencyCheckBuilder'"
Went to job configuration, text box no longer greyed out.
Build Job sucessfully.
Changed configuration sucessfully.
One bug down, one to go... Is the MissingFieldException an expected error?

Downlaoded and installed the latest hpi: $ wget https://jenkins.ci.cloudbees.com/job/plugins/job/dependency-check-plugin/ws/target/dependency-check-jenkins-plugin.hpi
Restarted jenkins.
Plugin manager lists "1.2.11.2-SNAPSHOT (private-07/29/2015 17:50-jenkins)"
Went to job configuration pre-build, and "Invoke OWASP Dependency-Check analysis Path to scan" Is greyed out (Probably not desirable!)
Built job with plugin step enabled..
After successful build, I verified that I could save configuration changes.
So, one bug quashed (can now save configurations after build), but new one created.

I'm unable to replicate this issue. However I have seen similar issues reported recently on the mailing list. I've made some modifications so that FilePaths are not required to be serialized and transmitted with the Options class.
Please confirm the fix resolves the reported issue. You may compile it from sources, or grab the latest binary (HPI) from here: https://jenkins.ci.cloudbees.com/job/plugins/job/dependency-check-plugin/ws/target/

1. Build a job with “Invoke OWASP Dependency-Check analysis” with no parameters (so use defaults), as a build step. 2. After the job is complete, change the configuration of the job by going to: /job//configure You can change anything, it doesn't matter. 3. Upon trying to save the configuration, I’m getting the following error (snipped for brevity): javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to serialize hudson.model.Project#builders for class hudson.model.FreeStyleProject at org.kohsuke.stapler.Stapler.tryInvoke(Stapler.java:796) at org.kohsuke.stapler.Stapler.invoke(Stapler.java:876) at org.kohsuke.stapler.MetaClass$6.doDispatch(MetaClass.java:249) at org.kohsuke.stapler.NameBasedDispatcher.dispatch(NameBasedDispatcher.java:53) at org.kohsuke.stapler.Stapler.tryInvoke(Stapler.java:746) .
