overset broken in 1.2.0
The overset command does not work in lyx-1.2.0.
It requires a {} after overset, however the {} is gone every single time after
saving the document.
Example:
In math mode, with AMS-tex on:
B overset{k_1}{k_{-1}} C
After saving the first {} (around k_1) are gone!
I would be very glad if there was a temporary patch.

eps preview problems in 1.2pre1
Eps figures cannot be shown in 1.2pre1. Every single figure creates an alert once I get on the page with the figure. Afterwards the figs show 'error converting to loadable format'. I am using SuSE 7.3 but not the ghostscript that comes with the distribution, but rather ghostscript-7.04-1 with ghostscript-fonts-6.0-2. Ulrich
lyx-1.1.6fix4 bug: can't use cite.sty
I am trying to use cite.sty in lyx. Unfortunately thje packages lsiterd in the latex preamble of lyx are inserted after everything else. If cite shows up after babel is is ignored! Any ideas how to fix this? Ulrich

Here is a save way to crash lyx. Highlight something in lyx. Ctrl-C -> paste it into pybliographic (1.0.7) (Ctrl-v or middle mouse butoon). Interestingly, no such crash occurs when I paste to kwrite or xterm. Ulrich

1.1.6fix1 has a number of nasty bugs in tables (highlighting, maneuvering is broken, it is not possible any more to apply formatting to the entire table ...). Is there still a change to get a 1.1.6fix2? Ulrich
insert reference feature request
If you are considering a 1.1.6fix2 I would like to ask for a command line input /as it was available until lyx-1.1.5) in insert reference. It takes forever to scroll through a 2500 entry list 100 times for a paper. Ulrich P.S.: Can anyone tell be how to post follow-ups? My previous 'compilation error' was easily solved by installing xdevel. SuSE has a package (xshared?) with the X libs which satisfies configure but compilation won't work.

I know you don't want to make changes to 1.1.6 any more. I have also compiler 1.1.6. before. But now I get a comilation error (after reinstalling most of my system). Cananyone help me? feature requestfor insert reference
It would be great if it was possible to enter a reference manually (by typing the label). My '.bib' - files have a few thousand entries and it takes forever to go through the list with the cursor. Ulrich

When a pipe has been defined in preferences I get a lyxpipe.in only, no lyxpipe.out + The behavior is not as explained: type xxx.in or xxx.out One should only type xxx, the .in is appended. Ulrich

Multiple citytions in lyx1.1.6fix1 can cause whitespaces in \cite{} (which
cause compilation errors).
example: \cite{ref1, ref2}
should be:
\cite{ref1,ref2}

tables vertical align
Vertical alignment in tables seems not to work. I tried to have a fixed width cell with two lines of text next to another cell. It was impossible to have the text in the other cell 'top' aligned. Ulrich

I am currently using lyx intensively to write a number of large documents. I almost feal I owe you developers at least a bottle of fine wine. Let we know when you hold a meeting in Germany. Using lyx a lot I also get a feeling for "missing features". and bugs: 1. The most annyoing bug are occasional crashes when I paste s.th. in the text. 2. The most disturbing bug is when highlighted regions are shown wrong. I will let you know as soon as I can reproduce any of these two bugs to be able to tell exactly in which context they occur. Let me know if can help debugging. 2. Frequently the lyx pipe (which I use with pybliographic) does not work. After crashes it sometimes helps to delete lyxpipe.out / .in. Can this be done automatically when the program starts? 3. I have a strong desire for being able to have multiple windows open (I know you are working on it). Even multiple lyx-es would do as long as I can clip and paste between them. 4. What about adding pdf output (ps2pdf or pdftex)? 4. It would be nice to have access to (latex) macros. 5. I hope this is not a critical question: I wonder why youstick to xforms. It has been 0.88 for a long time and there will probably never come a 1.0 because gtk and qt are available. paste to X11 window
I know this is mentioned in the known-bugs: It is impossible to paste any highlighted text in lyx to a X11 window, not even to another running LYX. Is there a way around? Does anyone have an idea how to fix this bug? Ulrich
X paste crash
Occasionally Lyx won't allow me to paste anything from another X-window and on other occasions it will just crash when I press the middle mouse button. Unfortunately it is also not always possible to paste from Lyx to other X-apps. Is this an xforms or a Lyx bug or no bug at all? Ulrich
