MD: MDLP car units now in the UK
Hi there Pioneer & Kenwood have just released there mdlp head units. Kenwood has one model KMD-673r which is a MD receiver with RDS and cd/md changer control. Pioneer has one model MEH-P7300r this also has that fancy animated blue display. First impressions favors the pioneer With upto date features and nice look, The kenwood unit looks dull but has better sercuirty features, Kenwood also do a standard md headunit which seems to have more audio features they also have a fancy display but I think it's only on the CD units. Hope this helps just waiting for sony now to see what they have to offer Keith - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: MD: Which MDLP deck?
Hi. I have the Jb940 and am very pleased with it I have started to use the LP feature as I have just got the mzr-900 as well But i noticed you can't use the scale factor edit on lp md's. & as you mention Lp mode is a must I Think you could save the £60 & get the 640. Keith p.s I don't no anything about the 640 i'm just going by what you said. On 12-Mar-01, you wrote: > > Hello everyone, > > I'm about to buy a new deck, and I'm looking for suggestions. MD: Buying a MZ-R900 & transmitters
I found this unit on a uk web site for £198.46 and that includes VAT and free delivery. I can't wait till it arives. Does such a product exsist that allows me to transmit the output of the MD to a normal radio (UK fm frequency) I want to tune it into the car radio. I can build Fm transmitters but 1) there not allowed & 2) the frequency responce is a bit low (not much good for anything over normal talking) thanks in advance Keith p.s have you seen the new combined Cd an LPMD player from sony? http://members.nbci.com/md_data/ it's the MXD-D40 model. I think it would go nice next to my jb940 :) - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

MD: Tray loading or not
What are the pros and cons of a tray loading md deck. My mate can't decide over the jb940 or ja333 he can't decide between tray loading or the push in method. I like the push in method better. Also I just got hold of the new sony catalogue and the technical spec has an error for the jb940 It states the you can't record clock/date like you can with the ja555es & ja333es but you can because I use that option all the time. thanks keith p.s thanks to the people that replyed to my other questions. - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

MD: Digital protection ???
Hi all I have been reading about this copy protection & would like to no if I wass to record a mix off the radio and put the track markers in etc could I then copy ot to another MD digitally and keep the markers like when you record from a cd? I know I can't make copys from the copy. If the above works could I also record from A LP2 md (My unit suports it) to standard stereo and keep markers etc. Thanks Keith - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: MD: Sony MZ-R900 and other LP units
I have just brought the Sony jb940 and while I havn't got the best setup in the world I can here very slight differences in the sound between stereo LP2 I can only here it with headphones. you can here it more if theres phaseing between left and right it's hard to put into words but it's the sort of effect when the music sound as if it's going around you rather then just fading left and right and only when it involves a 1 or 2 instruments. Other then that it's a great space saver but it's not compatible with my car md head unit so it's upgrade time again. hope my poor description is of some help. keith - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
MD: Just brought the jb940
Hi everyone. I brought my md deck at last. it's been a while & i have never used md's befor so im still getting used to it. I see on the list people asking about prices. As im in the uk sony wanted £300 but a place in the south east called Sevenoaks Hifi (a few shops dotted around) wanted £250 which was the cheapest i could find it on the net for. one question. Can you get bigger md's I can only find 80min disc's most of my tapes are 90mins. i know i can use the new lp mode but i want it to be compatible with other players.. thanks in advance Keith - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

MD: Sony mdx jb930 Vs jb940
I receantly read this review on the net about the jb940. Things below are I think what was missing from the 940 which he had on the 920. I wanted to by the 930 but am holding out for the 940. What I wanted to know is does the 930 have the featutes that are missing from the 940? << Snip >> It lacks the "Rec-It"-Feature that can be used in conjunction with Control-A1-equipped CD-players to record the track you are listening to with a single button push. Even though it is equipped with pitch control, there is no way to increase speed - no more "Mickey-Mousing".
