When the courts closed down Napsters main server, what happened? the service still runs, you just tell your napster program to use a different server, use OpenNapster, or whatever. I had hear 5:1 compression on ATRAC as compared to 12:1 for mp3 (usually). -- Mark Derricutt - Software Developer - http://www.chalice.gen.nz Getting jiggy with - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When I was thinking of getting a RIO, I was glad to learn that it used Smart Media cards, the same used by my digital camera, all's great, untill I learnt that the moment you put a smart media card into a RIO, it becomes unusable by a digital camera as the RIO changes its formatting. One would assume you could just reformat it with your camera, but apparantly that doesn't work. And at a cost of about NZ%160 for a 16mb card, that doesn't doesn't even store 30mins at decent quality, the cost of an MD is MUCH MUCH nicer at NZ$10.
