Well.. I mean it was a bit different over there. Most people I know in
Japan used MD because they frequently rent audio CDs. There are A LOT of
places to rent CDs over there! Before there weren't that many "home"
computers over there either, as space is very limiting. That's why most
people over there own laptops. Back then there weren't any laptops that
could burn CD... (anyone here remember burning CD using a CLI in the early
90's?)Plus the fact that MD small and keen make them very appealing I guess.

If you did it that route, to make it a better purchase... you can also buy
an Oxford911 bridge based Firewire enclosure put the old drive in. So
you'll have a nice external storage and still saved some extra bucks on top
of what apple is chargin... and the added bonus of an external HD.

I will suggest you get a free copy of Digidesigns ProTools when it comes out
on their website. It's one of my favroite applications of all time for
cutting, mixing, midi, midi triggers, fading, or what not. Good news is that
you don't need the fancy expensive Audiomedia card to use this version! And
did I mention it was free? :) Are they just releasing the Mac version?
Windows? or both? Thought this program might be overkill as it's most often
used by recording studios. And contains tons of stuff.

Dunno, the mac I have is 4 years old. If they have the header you can prob
make a transmitter.

MD: filters in Outlook Express 5 Mac OS

2000-09-24 Thread tk

Since people are posting about it...

Here's how you set them for Version 5 of Outlook Express for MacOS. Select a
message that belongs to the mailing list. Create a folder from the file
menu, select the new menu, the submenu appears select new folder (or shift,
command, N) and name it MDL or whatever. Select tools from the menu, then go
to Mailing List manager. Click on New, everything should be filled in
already. Just select where you want to "file message in folder" It's bloody
easy in Mac version 5!!
