Try ServiRed:
http://www.servired.com

They build cases that fit like a glove, that have a decent belt-clip and are
very durable. I've got one for my 702 and find their construction/quality a
lot better than CaseLogic cases.

Cheers,
Ralph -> a happy ServiRed customer!

Hmm, MiniDisc cases that slide onto your belt can be got from Dixions,
I've got mine here, it's called Swordfish and made out wet suit stuff
;).

Mines for my Sharp 722, have a look at your local one and see if they
have one.

Wouldn't you just use any pouch of that kind (choose one that's the size you
need, of course)? I didn't think the "belt" reference was talking about any
MD-specific "belts".

Just a generic (whatever you call them!?) bumbags? pouches?

Re: MD: Skipping on MD's

2000-03-22 Thread Leon

Hi there,

JR Moore and the others are right. On a post not too long ago, I mentioned
how leaving a MD player in your trouser pockets will make it skip,
regardless of its capabilities.

If you'd rather keep it in your pocket, try this. Do things so that the MD
player doesn't wobble around in your pocket. For example, attaching the
battery case. Do everything you can so it absolutely stuffs the pocket.

Shirt pockets are also great, but since on the PX5 unit |<< and >>| buttons
double as volume control, it may be a little annoying to operate.

That is why they sell the belts that you can put a MD in and wear it
around your waist.

Don't carry it in trouser pockets where it has area to move. The
movement throws the laser off.

Ok, maybe I'm wrong, but my portable does the same thing.

MD: Skipping on MD's

2000-03-22 Thread L K

Hi all,

I bought a JVC XM-PX5 md player from hongkong just
over 2 months ago. And i'm quite happy with its size
and weight. however, i'd just like to ask about how
much other Md players skip when walking. basically i
find that my player skips *A LOT*
normally i just keep it in my trouser pocket, and i
dont believe i walk fast, but in my larger pockets,
the md does swing a lot, and even walking on flat
ground, the md skips, and stops playing until i take
it out and just hold it when i walk. i find if i hold
it in my hand while walking or running then its fine,
only when i have it in my pocket does it skip.
is there anything i should do that can stop it
skipping so much?
or is my md just not working right?

thanks
