If you're able or not to enter the church depends on two things. If you carry
a certain item (I believe it was the book with the demons' prophecy, if not,
another devilish item you can easily get rid of by selling or giving it to somebody
else living in Banuwa village) you can't enter the church. If this is not the case,
and you're for example just in the beginning of the game, you won't be playing
the original Xak 2 (which wouldn't be a shame anymore or anything) and you
got a bad copy...

We tested the game you send attached. But I think your problem is not
with SPRITE speed. Your game is too slow because the mainloop is in
BASIC, and BASIC is too slow.
You could do what some programmers do: Write only part (the slow part,
with many calculus and conditions verification) in assembly. But then
you should learn Z80 (and so MSX) assembly.

Easy!

1) Open the Music Module

2) Remove the resistance n.39

3) To the place of the resistance add a Trimmer from 10K

END.

Now, you, increase the volume of the MM operating on the trimmer.

If you want, I send you a JPG image of the modification.

Terminal programs...

1999-04-27 Thread Giovanni R. Nunes

  Jose,

> ok, ok :)
> But I mean to the software. Which programs can I use?

  Well, a MSX w/ RS232, a PC (narf!), a Null-modem cable (US$7 in
Brazil...). But alone this thing doesnothing :)

Try to use Eryx, COMS6, MSX Term, etc... You can found some comm
  programs in ftp://nic.funet.fi/pub/msx/datacom.

For PCs running Linux is great convert your MSX in a dumb terminal
  (try agetty cua1 DT9600 vt52 for example), but if you're using DOS/Win
9x try to use "ctty COM2:".

But if you only wish change programs use a terminal program in PC and
MSX for it. Using XModem, YModem, ZModem, etc... protocols...

I just checked it. It's the same as the Turbo-R connector, which was in the
