I am trying to store (using the C API) a long field in a longblob table field. The size of the sentence is 2361408 Bytes and when using the function mysql_real_query it returns an error saying that the MySQL server has gone. However, if I reduce the data to be stored in a factor of 4. Then the data is stored without problems. Does anybody know what is happenning ?
