I've got a copy of Venus here in my office and so far I haven't had the gonads to try to install the thing since my Festen box is working so well. I'm also very encouraged to hear someone else saying this - it is horribly exasperating to pore over newbie books (I have three tomes that I refer to often) for hours only to be confronted with another inane error message when following the written advice. >Don John Knopp [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mandrake 5.3

Thanks for the reply, Eric. This is a cut and paste from the execute field: /usr/bin/netscape. If I remember correctly the original link (the one that quit working) only had "netscape" in there - I tried that to no avail. John Knopp [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mandrake 5.3
[newbie] broken (?) desktop link
Hi all, The Netscape link on my KDE desktop has suddenly decided to stop working. I have to log in as root and poke around in /usr/bin for the Netscape executable to get it to run, but when I am not logged in as root I can't get NS to run, no way, no how. (It worked fine for a while...) I know this is probably an easy fix but I can't find it in the KDE online help or my newbie books - what's the story? TIA John Knopp [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mandrake 5.3
