Since I started this thread, I should report that VERSION on the CD
tells me I have indeed purchased 7.0-2 from Linux System Labs. They
charge $1.89... plus $15 for shipping. Hey, those CDs weigh a ton!

Seriously, folks, that shipping got it to me in two days.

Why don't you try with patches? Once you installed 7.0 or 7.02 there is
basically no difference anymore AFAIK. Sure, 7.02 installs better, but
that is +- it.

Instad of downloading the whole bunch, get the patch you need, and try it
out. And there is always a text-install as a last resort. I would not run
for the 7.02 if I had 7.0 at home already.

Wait for the power-pack .-))

Well, it's supposed to solve some problems, and since I had some
problems, I'm questioning whether the supplier sent me 7.02 as
advertised. When the logon prompt comes, it says it's version 7.0
(Air).

GO WITH 7.02 !!!

I spent 3 days trying to get 7.0 installed and working correctly...never
did.
I downloaded the 7.02 ISO and had everything installed and working correctly
within an afternoon.

7.02 contains install patches for mouse, partitioning, X support, etc.
