Ain't it? My only gripe is they don't have a mailing list or seem to respond to
questions on the Sourceforge message board, so no way to track development of
the project, not even a TODO in the source tarball. Oh well, it's great, it's
free, everything else is gravy!

PyPanel rocks!

It has no launchbar, but i needed weened off that anyway. (already
weened).

One great feature of it is that if you only have a couple windows
open, it makes the taskbar button wider to show more of the title.

And you can color focused, shaded, and iconified differently.

cool

pekwm: version 0.1.3 Built on Fri Jul 11 07:59:00 PDT 2003

And until a couple weeks ago, i was on ML 9.1, also...

I was looking forward to workspaces, but i tricked pekwm and the
pager to act like a 3x3 array of desktops, so i really don't *need*
to upgrade.

Ya, the wheel is definitely the most-used button on my mouse now, moving through
autogrouped windows, desktops, and with PyPanel, now seperate clients as well!

I wouldn't bother, unless you are running a *really* old version of Pekwm. Claes
has been on some kind of compulsory military service and there haven't been many
changes in some months.

That freakin' bug 'can't use keybindings on empty desktop' is still hanging
about, though several improvements have been made to the autoprops to take into
account 'non-focusable' items like panels and gdesklets and the like.

I'd be goin' to the developers on this one, looks like a problem either in the
Makefile or in the code itself.

I tried it myself on my 9.2 system, 3.7 compiles fine, 3.8 doesn't.

[newbie] fbpanel 3.8

2004-06-11 Thread Eric Huff
Hello,

I've been away from upgrading for awhile, and though i'd try fbpanel
3.8 (i'm on 1.o unstable, now!)

Anyway, i get the below when when compiling. The main error is:
`G_MODULE_BIND_LOCAL' undeclared (first use in this function)

Anyone run into this, or know what the solution is (short of
actually re-writing code...) ?

Thanks,

eric
