Good advice, but my budget is terribly limited. I want so many
things for my vegetable garden that no matter how much I want the
linux system up and running, I must get what I can fo free.
I am still dlding move. I am almost half way there. Besides this
dld has taught me several things to speed up dlding. I eliminate all
unnecessary processes in my task manager and dld much smoother at a
about a twenty percent increase in speed.

You can buy the CD's for many Linux distributions from several sources and at
a reasonable cost, too. I've had good experience with www.cheapbytes.com, but
there are others -- linuxcentral.com comes to mind. Of course, if you want
the real Mandrake stuff which not only include manuals and support but also a
lot of software that is _not_ available in the download editions, consider
the Mandrake Store. Plus you get the added benefit of putting a few bucks in
Mandrake's pocket.

I did find and dld Azureus. I also had to dld Java. That took an
hour. I will try it out soon.
I previously found Internet Download Manager which also Has good
resume ability. It lets you edit the file types it will handle. I
added iso and img suffixes to the list and it is working. The dld
scheduler works great. A neat feature to set dld times for the most
convenient time of day.

I don't recall doing that at all - as far as I can remember, requesting a
download just pops up the gui if it is installed. I could be wrong, though.
When things are easy you just forget about them ;-)

Thanks, Anne. But, do you know the name of the program?

The system I'm using at this moment is on 10.0, but a search brings up
/usr/lib/menu/bittorrent-gui
so I guess it's called bittorrent-gui :-)
